I think this is the court case that Looed told us about a couple of weeks ago. He was waiting on the deadline passing for Zaza to appeal this case, and once that date had passed it meant that Zaza was unable to overturn the injunction and it became a permanent injunction. It’s the news from Georgia that we we are now waiting for.
Steve N, Luis Giusti and Tyler Nelson (I think)
And Dustin I also think was a new director placed in charge of FRUS after Zaza’s dismissal.
And what is Bryce’s role other than our chief lawyer?
From the Sky News website:
“Referendum in Georgian breakaway region suspended
The president of the Georgian breakaway region of South Ossetia has suspended a referendum on whether to become part of Russia until consultations with Moscow are complete.
"Until the completion of consultations, suspend the Decree of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia dated May 13, 2022 'On calling a referendum of the Republic of South Ossetia'," President Alan Gagloyev said.
Mr Gagloyev has announced the referendum on 13 May. It was due to take place on 17 July.”
Cheers Looed. It’s not nice however being personally ignored by the company for at least 3 years. Thankfully you, Cymro and others have been able to keep me and the rest of us in the loop.
Dulwichman and Looed.
Thanks for your two good and well thought out posts. We certainly need some clarity from the company: surely they are legally obliged to talk to us shareholders. It’s all very frustrating. I have now emailed the company 5 times in the past week and have had no response whatsoever. I don’t understand why they are not able to tell us that things are still moving forwards and that we still have a chance of success. They could drop discrete hints on the website to keep us all hopeful.
Unless of course they don’t give a **** about shareholders, which up until now I just haven’t wanted to believe.
Following on from Looed’s update, I have now emailed the company twice in the last two days. Here’s hoping for some kind of response (it would however be the first I’ve ever had!)
Aurora
Just realised that I can’t type - meant to say that I’d support anyone against a team who beat us, so hopefully Rangers will lift the trophy tonight.
Aurora
Happy to support anyone who beat us!
Best of luck tonight
Try to be a little more sympathetic to me Coggy. I’m still upset that we’re not in the Europa cup final this evening! Fingers crossed, I’ll be a very wealthy man this time next year and I’ll be able to go and watch every game in Europe.
I too never got a reply from my many emails to them…….but still hoping there will be something left in the pot for the ordinary shareholders once the dust has settled.
Thanks Looed for all the info. We just have to now hope that things move quickly and we hear from FRC soon.
Good find Chris
“Currently, 16 fields are being developed in Georgia, including 15 oil fields and 1 gas-condensate field: Eastern Chaladidi, Supsa, Shromisubani, Norio, Satskhenisi, Samgori-Patardzeuli- Ninotsminda, Samgori South Dome, Teleti, West Rustavi, Mtsarekhevi, Baida, Taribani, Mirza- ani, Patara Shiraki, Nazarlebi, Rustavi (gas condensate).”
Which ones are ours? Tarabani must be surely.
Yes I saw that too Jeremiah. But the best case scenario is that we are included and it is the spare blocks without exploration licences in place that are now up for grabs. Here’s hoping….
Great find Bugsy
Here’s a similar report for those without Facebook

No PJohn. It is just a sign that FTI are hoping to get something back. Whether they can convince a court that they warrant something back is another matter. Looed suggested that this may well be part of a strategy by FTI, Hope and us to work together. I for one am still hopeful that he was right.
Thanks Looed for the clarification. I know we are in a waiting game at the moment.
Ziggyzag
I figured it might be, but I also supposed that FTI and Outrider/Hope may possibly have seen evidence that led them to believe that it was in their best interests to kick the can down the road for a bit longer. Looed may already know the details of the court appearance, but for now, the rest of us will have to wait until someone is able to access the documents properly. Thanks for the heads up.
Ziggyzag
This may be one of the cases that Looed suggested had been kicked down the road, with the agreement of all parties. Just a guess.
Regarding Boris Becker, in the Times today:
“His judgment was often poor and he was reported to have lost a good slice of the £8 million he invested in the Nigerian oil and gas industry in 2017.”
We’ve all been there!
Good to see that BP are still advertised on the banner Looed :)
