We’ve not been told I’m afraid. Hopefully it is procedural and we are not fighting with the GOGC over the asset/ transfer etc.
Sorry - I should have just googled him. He’s the director general of the GOGC https://www.gogc.ge/en/board/directors/george-bakhtadze/10
Does anyone know who Givi Bakhtadze is?
Thanks Looed. Just waiting for the big reveal now :).
Fingers crossed
Good post Bugsy. It’s good to be reminded why we’re fighting for this prize. My view is that at the moment, no news is good news. Looed is keeping quiet for a reason. Why bother if we’re about to lose everything.
Hi Pyro
Good point re FRR now listing the US as one of its areas where they are looking for opportunities. I’d seen this, but hadn’t understood its potential significance. My take on this is that there are four ways to read this (at least):
1 - put there as a distraction, for whatever reason
2 - put there as a potential source of future work once Georgia comes good. If the company suddenly has a lot of cash, SN may well feel that it is time to invest it in slightly safer jurisdictions
3 - a last ditch attempt to save the company if Georgia goes bad. Seems unlikely to me as we by then wouldn’t have any money and surely no one would lend us any!
4 - put there by mistake, i.e. it simply meant to indicate that we have offices in the US
Thanks Looed. It’s good to hear that an update may be close. I’ll certainly keep checking the website, just in case. Perhaps a few more hidden pages are also accessible :)
Thanks for the info sycric.
Not sure if you or others have noticed, but the new frontera website has a little more content than you might think. If you type in say
https://www.frontera-resources.com/update
it takes you to a “no such website address” type page. On this page there is a link back to the homepage or to a “search” page at https://www.frontera-resources.com/search
This is not a new page and has been there all along, but I thought following Looed’s request to keep quiet for a bit, I’d explore it in silence. Suffice to say that I have found nothing!
Hopefully following Sycric’s rumour, Looed might soon feel able to fill in some of the blanks.
I think we would all like your rumour to be true Sycric. GLA
Looed
How long do you anticipate it will take for news to arrive? Are you in a position to give a rough guess? Cheers
This feels to me as if we are in the critical stages of this whole saga. Success or failure? I don’t know, but it seems like we are close to the end. GLA

Looed announced on the 18th March from memory that we were at that point entering a critical period for the company in terms of developments, and that he would keep quiet for a bit, so as not to mistakenly advantage our opponents. He did not say whether these developments were court-based or deal-making type developments, or who he perceived were the threats to the company. Instead he simply warned against providing these opponents easy access to information at this time. We are not even sure how the events in Ukraine play into all of this, if at all. Given that most of the good news we have seen of late has come from Looed and his contacts with the company, I think that most on here have taken the view that he is probably right. He did say that he hoped to either give us some news soon himself, or that the company might offer us some news directly (perhaps via the website). Fingers crossed that he is right and we soon have something to get excited about.
Cheers buggy.
Perhaps that’s it then. We’ve got loads of gas, drills lined up, we’re fracking and plan to explore the area even more fully using seismology …. Oh and BP and Exxon are stumping up all the cash.
In my dreams perhaps.
I just took another look at the frontera website to see if anything has changed and alas, it hadn’t. Nevertheless, it got me thinking if there was any significance to the 4 pics they had chosen to use at the bottom of the page, or whether instead they were just completely random, simply taken on a phone on SN’s last visit to Georgia…
Now the first one is obvious, and shows gas being flared, presumably at one of our sites. The second pic I remember (I think) from the old website, and seems to show a drill on site in Georgia. But what of the other two pics? Does anyone recall where they have come from? Any chance that Coggy and co, who went out to Georgia, can remember these pics?
And is there a series of semi-hidden messages here for us to read and therefore see what FRR’s plan is for the future? Or as I suggested earlier, are they all completely random?
Great stuff theGambler! That puts paid to the theory the court cases against Zaza were all an elaborate ruse! Things are certainly moving in our direction at last.
I’d be very interested to hear Looed’s thoughts on all of this. I think he said he lived out in the Far East, so maybe he comment later this evening.

It’s back on!
Interesting article now on the Interpress website which echoed my thoughts yesterday that Georgia is safer now that Russia’s Ukraine war is going so badly;
https://www.interpressnews.ge/en/article/118743-according-to-us-senator-ben-cardin-if-putin-had-taken-over-ukraine-as-fast-as-he-was-anticipating-there-would-have-been-a-real-danger-that-he-would-go-for-moldova-and-georgia
I think you’re right in many ways Pyro. The resolve of the Ukrainians in fighting Putin means that he won’t by trying anything like this again. The longer this goes on, the safer the Baltic nations are in my opinion (and likewise our little Georgia).
I hope Putin backs down, but like everyone else, I can’t see it. He calculated that he could invade and install a puppet regime, and therefore would need minimal Russian soldiers in Ukraine thereafter. Instead, the bravery of the Zelensky and co means he is likely to be forced to downsize his objectives. He probably will now try to occupy only the South and the East of the country and even that will require a very significant number of troops to retrain power.
Georgia should now look West and to the EU and who knows, maybe one day to NATO. Our oil and gas needs to be exploited asap.
Looed - with regard to your post, this must surely help our court cases in Georgia. There’s no way now that Zaza can strut around in Georgia saying that he will eventually win in the US court. This must surely weaken his chances of success in Georgia.
Many thanks.
