Bit tired of flatlining on seemingly positive news - or worse, significant drops day after day.
Believe in the company, its leadership and future BUT if these sell-offs continue i know that smart management of my funds will allow me to buy substantially more shares at a lower rate.
Switched entire holding to Novacyt at opening, Syme now down 17.02% and Nova up 19.79%.
I'll buy back in eventually.. but for now, this seems the way forward.

Hi all,
Relatively new around here. Couple of noob questions to help my understanding if any of you can help...
1. A company lists on the stock market and an assessment is made of its overall value which is then split by the number of shares issued. What determines the number of shares issued?
2. What happens if nobody buys the shares?
3. If some shares are sold and some are not, what happens to those sitting there unused?
4. We know Level 2 data is better than the level one stuff we get. Quite often google is more up to date than say HL or LSE. How come?
5. I've made 15% on the JP Morgan Emerging Markets fund in the last few months. Happy enough with that. Is there a good resource such as LSE for funds like these - with analysis and chat?
6. Assuming a contract was signed today by all parties, does a company *have* to a). Issue an RNS and b). Do so within a specific time period?
Thanks!
Selling makes perfect sense.
1. We don't know how much lower this is going to go. Given it has not seen a rebound or hit a floor after JB stopped selling, this is concerning.
2. Should the price continue to fall, it will be possible to buy more shares at a lower price meaning that if the price then does eventually recover there are larger profits to be had.
3. Should the price not recover - in spite of what people are saying here - you've cashed out some profit or cut your losses.
It pains me to say it but I've sold today and won't be back in unless it drops significantly further.
Why would there be given he posted this three hours ago?
Just with lawyers now. ASAP.
It doesn’t need to be after trading as it contains no new news. It is exactly as I described it previously. Irrevocable order to purchase up to 20p, to get to 29% by 1 month after my installation as CEO.
To be fair you'd have to be mindful of the message that sends out - that they expect the ex owner to be successful in his approach. That would say you don't have faith in the BoD and company in general - that is, that it won't rise above the offer price anyway.
