Hi all
Been reading for some time and finding current developments fascinating.
Background:
Working from home and getting plenty of time to monitor chat/news/data. So far covid has been good for us and am at the start of building a nest-egg to buy a house.
Previously, got into bad debt and ended up on a DMP, partially due to using payday loans. All paid off, in full after 6 ish years.
Trying to balance my small initial pot between cash savings and money in the markets. Own some units in JPM emerging markets (10.29% profit in last couple of months).
Currently sitting at a weighted average of 14.29p in Amigo (lowest 7.09p).
Have topped up my holding in the last couple of days and hoping for the best.
Developments yesterday and today have been amazing so far, enjoying reading most of your comments.
Any experienced investors got any good strategic advice they wish to share would be appreciated.
My plan so far -
Look for companies which have dropped significantly due to covid, typically those with low share prices in order to obtain as many as possible. Only select those that previously had a much higher share price and are potentially able to recover fully or in part.
Sell when a reasonable profit is made, return some profit to cash and go again.
