I personally am a little bit surprised by the recent negativity, purely because of news of both the Cancer Research UK Grand Challenge and more importantly (IMO) the Ichor/IND approval should be a matter weeks away now,right? I do feel this is on the cusp...a major turning point now, certainly as 2019 starts, and maybe even something sooner this week RE the IND. (However I appreciate that I and many of is have felt that before too!)

Being a long term holder I do however 100% share the (huge) frustration that several of us do on here are, and still think the BOD could and should have done more in the meantime (IMO).

Agree, Richard Goodfellow does have previous form. And all the recent tweets (except the trinity one) have been about China, either specifically about the conference or the general state of play RE the meteoric rise of the Chinese Bio industry.

Tommy, not sure what you're talking about RE 20 split between winners, as per my post yesterday, last year four teams were chosen to be funded up to £20m EACH.

Does anyone know the exact dates of the Grand Challenge results announcements?

(Also does anyone have any new info regarding the IND/Ichor Trigrid?)

It does look like the Scancell led team have a very good chance, but I personally don't think it's wise to assume the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Grand Challenge (GC) is in the bag, but in saying that, isn't there still funding given to those that don't win the overall first prize anyway? The actual pot of money is quite substantial is it not?

Also, I think (again IMO), that the cache and the potential prize money that winning CRUK GC might give actually still plays second fiddle to the connections/relationships/partnerships(?) that have been built already with the likes of Genentech/Biontech etc?
