Sky News/Media Blitz/Covid19 Funding7 May 2020 15:51
Just throwing this query out there, out of curiosity more than anything else...but who would have approached you with regards to the Sky Interview?
Similarly it's apparent Scancell are properly doing the the whole media/social media/publicity thing, with the assumption that it's to attract funding for Covidity. But wouldn't communication channels already exist with the various biotech bodies (& possibly Scancell themselves) with the government/institutions/foundations etc so that the likes of Scancell don't need to advertise their wares so to speak? Mind you, just as i'm writing this, i'm remembering just how good Scancell are at flying under the radar!
But anyway, judging by the recent media blitz it looks like a classic "we're in the shop window, come buy/fund us". I'm just still suprised they need to go down this route in the first place at all...i.e. being very public/vocal about it? i.e. the logistics of it all. I'm guessing the government/consortium/foundation types need to be made aware of a covid19 research project then? Is the sheer number of other studies a factor? I'm guessing the scouts at big pharma will be a bit more clued up and definitely be actively looking at ongoing Covid19 projects? i.e. https://www.bioworld.com/COVID19products
I mean how would the oxford study got backing so quickly (if they did get government backing that is?) Someone mentioned the Oxbridge connection to many MP's might have been a a factor?
(p.s. @bermudashorts - you recently posted the WHO list of ongoing covid19 projects, i can't for the life of me find that link again! Would you mind letting us know what is again)
