A reminder to everyone how close the permit could be

Evening Chisler. You might be right although historically EML have been bc quite tight lipped about things. I wonder if a few short term traders have bought in on the conference next week? If there was a ‘leak’ then I would have thought there would have been more trades and a bigger rise.

After all this time with numerous work streams having been completed, I’d find it astounding if the Moroccans came back and refused the ESIA issue. That would obviously require an RNS and in the absence of a remotely negative communication from the company, I remain confident as I’ve always done , that we’ll get the permit in the near term.

So yes, for all the reasons you have recently quoted, the upcoming conference could well see a significant announcement. I also feel after so much apparent cooperation between the UK and Morocco it would be political disaster to refuse outright the permit.

1. I have no idea what substantive update GC was planning. You’ll have to ask him.

2. My comment related to an expected Q1 update which naturally will come into Q2 as per previous quarterly updates. Refer to the Q4 2022 update which was published into Q1 2023

I think you’re spot on mining investment. When I called him out for being wrong a few days ago re Ramadan he was unapologetic. Clearly a know it all even when he’s wrong. I think it’s a good call not to engage with him.

No test pack you’re wrong. Business carries on as normal in Morocco during Ramadan. I know because I’ve worked there. What happens in other countries I’ve no idea.

TP3 - As you have mentioned my name, I need to correct you. In no way did i ever say it is the Moroccan's responsibility for putting forward solutions. I'm assuming it's EML's responsibility although we don't know the content of the discussions so it's also conceivable the Moroccans 'might' have tendered advice. So kindly issue a correction to part of your last post as you were incorrect. Thanks.
