Sounds like that's your problem, not ours!
Boy am I glad we have actual grown ups running the company......
Borrowing money for buyouts when you haven't yet started a free cash income flow and just as interest rates are about to increase, some 2 years prior to production along with cash drawdown needed for the costs of getting into production....
Complete and utter madness.
Sorry, missread. The SPP is in total for $3m, so NCM's share will be much less.
Even so, they have in excess of $1m committed to this....
NCM / AZY RNS just in, MCM exercises their right to maintain their 9.9% holding:
"The exercise of this right will see Antipa issue an additional approximately 36.7 million fully paid
ordinary shares at $0.027 per share (Top-Up Placement) to raise a further approximately $1.0
million (before costs). This will result in the total funds raised under both the Placement and TopUp Placement being approximately $10.0 million.
Newcrest has also notified Antipa of its intention to exercise its top-up right again following
completion of Antipa’s recently announced Share Purchase Plan (SPP) of up to $3.0 million (see
Antipa ASX release dated 12 September 2022, Successful $9M Placement and Launch of $3M SPP). "
So, NCM had some $4m cash in the bottom drawer for AZY......
Scratches beard, knowingly.......
Encouraged that the renewables debate continues apace. Interesting article:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-62892013
I doesn't, however, address the supply metrics of required commodities (copper, battery metals etc) with demand exceeding supply.....
Oh my! How deluded....
No, they didn't take the offer of $85m from GGP to buy back the 5% option. So they lost out on $85m cash plus still gave away the 5%....
No, they did not take up the $60m to buy 5% (this $60m is now a small proportion of what will be needed to buy 5% now).
And you think that they are trying to starve us of cash to get us cheap.... Oh lordy.
I wish you luck in all your future investment decisions.
Really? I mean REALLY?
Can all the conspiracy nuts exit stage left please. No - NCM aren't playing some convoluted game to get us on the cheap. It is nonsensical and really stupid to believe this sort of carp.
As per the RNS, the grown ups are now in control - please go away, you add no value to the conversation at all.
Just wow ....
https://www.afr.com/chanticleer/the-global-war-for-copper-is-just-getting-started-20220911-p5bh6v
"A new report doing the rounds of the global mining sector, which was compiled by S&P Global and funded by Rio, BHP, Glencore and a host of other global miners, paints a dramatic picture of the explosion in demand that will occur over the next 13 years, and the shortfalls that will emerge in just two years and extend for decades."
2 years, just as our (copper) production starts to ramp up.......
Interesting to see if NCM can come up with the cash to maintain the 9.9% holding they have. 5 day deadline......
It's small beer in comparison, still interesting to see if they still have something hiding in the bottom drawer after gifting us our 5%....
Easy Peasy - setting up the kit needed in my kitchen now.......

Impressive.
Drilling over 2000m now......
Those grades.......
Just wow.
Happy Falcon.
Trading halt pending announcement......
Summat is up in Oz....
Well, watch out for the normal patterns, then!
Artemis spiked to over 3.00 on news recently, but are now back below 2.0 having retraced to not far above the pre-news level. Up 50%, down 50%.....
Where do you want to be long term is the question......
@Bamps, don't forget, not just the quickest to production ever!
We have a fully functioning processing facility next door which (at minimal cost) will take every hovel full of ore we can dig out. There is no time delay (nor capex cost) in building the plant and infrastructure and no drag on income over time needed to match processing capacity with ore production.
Telfer spent some 35 years building the machine, we can leap on board at full speed right from first ore.
Massively efficient and cost effective mine at HAV.....
Happy Falcon.
OMI.... Pah.... If I had any I'd be selling to move into ggp. simples.
One aspect of the JV with NCM and the proximity of Telfer that many miss is the time element.
Telfer's demise has been put of thanks to the HAV discovery. The Need to get ore through the plant and keep it running (a shutdown would be mega costly to start up again) has forced NCM to find some more (low grade) ore at Telfer and has compressed that time it would normally take to get to HAV's ore. This is now the fastest underground mine from discovery to first ore. This many do now understand.
The real Time Lord trick will reveal itself soon!
Consider that Telfer timelines, some 35 years since discovery during which the plant and infrastructure (airport, village, power plant gas pipeline etc. etc.) has grown. The capacity of the plant has been increased over time to meet the throughput demands as grades reduced.
We are able to tap in (at minimal cost) to a fully functioning plant and infrastructure which will happily take every ton of ore that we can throw at it from day one. We do not have to invest the time and cash needed (over 35 years) to develop our own infrastructure to a similar standard. This is the marathon runner that sets off at his maximum pace and maintains the same pace up to the finish line, halving any previous records.
Yes, Telfer is our Time Lord, the levels of production that HAV can achieve from the first shovel full of ore will be impressive and far faster than than may would normally expect.
You leave the Welsh out of it, please.
We are masters of obscure spelling and pronunciation, many generations of experience. You won't win.
A tiny .03% 'reduction'.
In reality they have purchased more to maintain their position following the increase in shares in issue. That is a big vote of confidence IMO.......
And how much have they 'invested' in keeping Telfer going using some very marginal ore? The figure of $246m springs to mind, but not sure exactly how much. It is big, though. If HAV hadn't been found, then Telfer would be closing down around now. The remediation costs don't bear thinking about....
Perhaps you should consider how many 100's of $m the HAV discovery has saved NCM by extending the life for Telfer by some 30 years? Now, that is something they would not want to give up......
Really? Simply Wall St with a believable pre RNS coup?
Oh my! Whatever next? Yup - just saw a pink one flyng past my window....
I think I'd believe an RNS........ Not these muppets.
