Cool it @Icecool, you are showing yourself up.... I've spilt my coffee twice now, laughing at your posts!
That's just his allocation, same as the rest of us. Nothing to do with 'little' anything.
Not one for critical thinking eh? Aim999 fool.
But, then again, if the gold price goes north....... The lower grades become economical again, the Telfer machine is capable of processing vast quantities of ore.
So.... who knows? Crystal ball time.
Interesting that they don't indicate the ore grade. The cost of the hedging, presumably, is rolled into the overall cost quoted.
Very limited in time (to coincide with full ore production from HAV?).
Having to do whatever needs doing to keep the machine running for now.... Our FS will be a beauty IMO.
If I was a betting type Falcon, then I'd say that this is Telfer's swansong - the final ore as it transitions to an area processing hub.
Benrumpson1 has it!
With Telfer's current AISC higher than the gold price (to clarify, every ton of ore processed losses NCM money) you are going to now see how fast a cash starved company can dig.... they know there is high grade gold there and need to get it on the way to Telfer yesterday....
The earlier the better for NCM (and us).
That's just how they deal with it, they need to take all the cash for all you have requested to avoid any credit risk.
You will get back whatever is not allocated. You need to wait for the RNS detailing any allocation plus a message from HL (or your broker) that tells you hat you have been allocated.
Close of play RNS is more likely, now.
We should soon be due one on the OO allocations in any case, but IF there is to be anything juicy on Saturday, there will need to be something ....
Checking messages and emails constantly today.....
Their current AISC for Telfer, in excess of the gold price is a massive management headache.
Options:
1) Close it down until the ore is ready (laying off staff you are unlikely to get back) and incurring very large recommissioning costs.
2) Rework the FS to show a mine plan with enough return to afford to keep running at a loss until the ore is at the gates. Faster and larger extraction once the ore is reached. Better IRR in the short to medium term, longer term with a second decline or extraction shaft to increase throughput. Tip the overall picture including a longer LOM into a firm Tier 1 mine.
My guess is they are going for option 2).
All this 'squeezing us' carp is just that, complete fantasy nonsense!
My guess (pure guess) is that IF they need to flag anything up to the market prior to Saturday, then this will come as an RNS at close of play Friday.
They had to 'cool' expectations through an RNS once this week, to now fuel them before the weekend would be a bit odd!
@Stella, So.... Wyloo (with advice from serious investment managers) have made the wrong call?
The decision to mine is now irrelevant!
The road access, Telfer's craving for quality ore, the box cut, the decline the PFS the on site infrastructure, the number of rigs spinning (six is it?) on site, the step out drilling, talk of exploring other targets in the tenement, the $$$ already invested, the stunning speed of development, etc. etc. etc.
Well, what do you think? The decision to mine has been clearly made - it just hasn't been announced yet. When it is it will be 'meh, we knew that already. Tell us something we don't know.'
No, the big inflection point will be the FS. NCM will be looking to show a ROI for all the cash spent and need to justify keeping Telfer open (and the cash spent there as well)! This is why (IMO) the delay and inclusion of more drilling. Watch out for not just the size (10Moz maybe?), cos we know size isn't everything. The mine plan will be key, how much and how soon ore can get to Telfer (and at what average grade) will be the really key information. Life of mine will also be key.
Only then can the investment wizards play with their NPV calcs and we can seriously re-rate.
Until then just keep adding and watch the HAV racing greyhound charge at full speed towards a finish line that is still not visible...
That's where the magic happens!
You need to get interferon into the system, Through the lungs is the quickest and easiest way.
With that sort of advice, I'd cancel your subscription if I were you.
Do they do the same level of in depth research {sic} on other stocks too?
My advice re IC - avoid.....lol.
They have total discretion, but do need to consider carefully first.
1) Do they need the extra cash? If so, why wasn't his catered for initially? If not, how do they provide a reasonable ROI for cash they don't need?
2) If under subscribed and they can become fully subscribed with the extra shares, then do it.
3) If only a small percentage of extra shares applied for, then consider as a good will gesture to PIs.
4) If there is a large extra shares subscription, then think carefully! There could be negative affects if you fill this. See above on if the cash is needed. Additional dilutive effects may not be welcome. Could be seen as an irresponsible cash grab by the market.
Not easy being a director of a company on the cusp of......
I would say that (IMO) there will be a large number of extra shares requested, in which case I am expecting only a very small issue of 'extras' to make up for any shortfall in the placing. Expect nothing, anything will be bonus but it is likely to be very small (lees than 5% guestimate).
Yup @deserttrader.
Do we run a book on the date (in 2023, of course) when the RNS reporting first ore at Telfer drops?
Book me in for 29th July.
plan, not plane! Autocorrect did me again.
Secretly happy with that AISC....
They either are or are close to running Telfer with a higher AISC vs gold price - so crunch time for NCM is here, big time.
They can't close down or pause Telfer, the costs to start up again when HAV ore gets delivered will be nasty.
They have to just keep it running until HAV ore arrives...
Now we might see how fast a cash starved company can dig - any time they can save on getting the ore out is worth $$$.
Maybe this is the driver for the delay to the FS? A bigger/better mine plane with earlier and larger ore production to justify the costs of keeping Telfer ticking over......
Who knows???
Superb......
A lesson in how not to spot an opportunity!
Absolutely zero research nor interest in what the company actually does and is planning to do. Nothing about the potential size of the market if all works out.
