A lot depends on your own circumstances and investment targets. For me, I'm looking to achieve enough value in my pension for a long and happy retirement.

GGP along with a couple of other select stocks may well just do that. If I get there with one of my others, then GGP will ride forever. I may hit my minimum portfolio target with a mixture, and will likely keep GGP in the overall mix. Whatever happens, at some point I need to diversify into a broader mix as I'm a tad overweight with my three star stock (GGP is one).

A few things need to happen first, more growth in GGP etc. (obviously). The markets settling down with a clearer long term picture. Two big problems in my mind is the US political stability (will it resolve itself or degenerate into civil strife? Who kows?) and Covid, particularly the availability of therapeutics and vaccines with death and infection rates being mastered. I think we have a couple more years of market turmoil, so being overweight in a gold stock makes perfect sense to me.

Please return unopened, this one is clearly defective!

Also with an eye on the prise of stockpiling orders, it would be useful having regulatory contacts in many countries.

Maybe if they knew about it Zoom themselves might be interested in the really innovative ways their platform is being used?

The space station has reported that the world's massive vaccine production facility is now clearly visible from space. You know, the one with enough capacity to manufacture all the vaccine required for the whole world.

Their airfield is full with cargo planes all ready to take off and deliver this nectar all over at a moments notice. Whole armies of doctors are ready to administer the vaccine to everyone, the vaccine that will be 100% effective.

All this will be done by May and everyone will be immune for ever.

Yes, Covid will be beaten by May - totally it will. Oh and DJT will still be president too!

Re Q1:

I would queue for the Oxford Vaccine and keep answer B ready in case it doesn't work! I'm a sceptic for the Pfizer and Moderna offerings as they are RNA based which is both totally new as well as rushed.

The Oxford one uses well established vaccine production methods and is backed by 10 years of research into fast vaccine production, so my comfort level is higher than the alternative vaccines.

Otherwise I'm a 'B' all the way.

The discussions over herd immunity and when Covid will end are all a little premature.

Yes, the more affluent countries may approach herd immunity via the purchase of vaccine. This will not help out the poorer countries where vaccines will be difficult to get. Add to that the rapid initial spread of this disease due largely to the modern, fully connected, world. You only need one infected person to cross a border (by air, sea or land) to continue the infection. We don't know how long a vaccine will give protection, how effective or what mutations the virus will throw at us.

In short we (every one, worldwide) are in for the long haul. Herd immunity has to be viewed on a global scale. The logistics of manufacture and distribution at this scale are mind boggling, let alone sorting out the political will and differences to be able to achieve this.

Simply, we are just at the beginning of tackling this virus. We have a very long road ahead. We will need all available effective ways to treat or prevent this virus (political and religious included). SNG will be a part of the mix, long term.

It is one thing to discuss the Home Trial on here and bemoan the impression of a slow take up. But, with the helpful pictures you have put up we can now see what is actually involved! There's a fair amount of kit included, so will need a fair bit of explanation and training (all done remotely over Zoom I believe).

The trial is asking elderly participants, with comorbidities, to pick up new skills right at the point of when that are feeling unwell, a little vulnerable and having to self isolate. This is not an easy trial to perform, I do wonder what the failure rate is (by failure, I mean those that start but are unable to cope with the technology and regime required)?

I wish luck, fair winds and sunny days to everyone that either participate or try to participate in this trial.
