S - are Plus dropping as people sell off before the divi drop tomorrow? Expected a rise today as people / II's stock up ready for the big divi! Then sell for a drop tomorow!

T & S - Still got the DGE, like S I am looking at 2666 to be neutral ... any higher is profit on top of the Divi. I think it was M who sold last week after the ex-divi.

Think my Plus were 1549 today ... will be on parade at open to see if I can sell them without a loss!! With their £2 rise over the last week or so, may be at the peak and will take a while to get back to 1550 after the /any divi drop.

Good news on GGP starting drilling at Scallywag ( great names they have for these mining areas! ) so the price dropped 10%! Recovering now.. chance to top up cheaply there and trade on the spike!! mainly holding them tho ( as they say, Hold for Gold! ).

T - while my portfolio / cash pot is rising now, still down from early June when I spiked myself several times on shares at the top of their price. I have been working through these losses - average down, sell at loss to buy something else .. working but still a bit slow. Probably still have a tyre or two for the Tesla tho'.
Tesla updates - sounds good to me. Still wondering if to go for Model 3 or Model X ( faster but twice the price!!! )

S - yes, back into Plus this morning, just about in profit now....

M - Hehehe! Got a lucky Plus buy at 1498 yesterday, sold @ 1550 .. about 3.4% profit. Not enough funds for lots of shares, and was really after the nice silly big divi on Thursday - so I'll have to buy back in anyway!!
Let me know when to buy! S - you too please!!! I have a limit buy set at 1510, in case it drops to 1500 again today / tomorrow open.

T - we should open Treacle's school of newbie traders for the likes of me and M !!! With S, O and L as lecturers!!

S - no, I was in bed when T started posting today!

Had a dabble on Plus again - Divi chasing! - but with the mornings early rise sold them for nice earner.
Probably buy back on the drop.

7Dig - a music streaming B2B platform, has some sort of deal with Triller - new "tiktok" app .. and Donald has signed up.

I traded these for practice when I started in Feb, were 0.5p to 0.2p, I quit them when they fell to 0.1p.
They were rising last week, I was watching, but they hit 1p+ end of last week, now 3.4p
Aim company, no stamp!

I was out most of the day, picking up son #1 from Durham where he has settled after uni there.... about 170 miles each way!
So not been on all day.

Bought some CINE when they fell ( limit buy ) but nothing else exciting!

Hope you all had a good day ( although I sense it was a quiet day on the markets today! )

T - I'm great!

Locked in DGE divi, price nearly back to cost price ( limit sell for a profit already set! ).
Sold FEVR ( whether a divi or not... I'd agree with S - not an ex-divi day! ) for £99 profit.
Took some profit on SNG, buy back more when / if it falls.
MCRO fallen a bit but should soon rise...

Limit buys on CINE, PLUS( for divi ) or I'll do it manually tomorrow/next week.... hoping for a big rise!

so overall a nice day especially with the sun ( too hot for the cats and other half even with the air con and many fans!! )

The ex-dividend date for stocks is usually set one business day before the record date. If you purchase a stock on its ex-dividend date or after, you will not receive the next dividend payment. Instead, the seller gets the dividend. If you purchase before the ex-dividend date, you get the dividend.

So hold today, you should be fine!

If I am wrong I am sure the long term guys will advise!

Have been looking at FEVR this week, and a reasonable drop today. So bought a few. AND realised they go ex dvi tomorrow!

I'm becoming a Divi fiend! SLA and PLUS go ex divi on 20th aug ... have to see if I get get a good position in there if the DGE and FEVR get sold!

At last this is getting exciting and fun, and profitable!!! ( again! )

So I guess you could sell shortly after opening?

Diabolo are rising steadily now ( + 95p so far today ) ( likely buyers getting in for the divi? ) after the £3 fall last week, there may be a fall tomorrow/Friday after divi taking, but I expect a continued rise for a few days/weeks back to the near £30 mark.
Mine were 2650 so break even now. I guess a limit sell in the morning at a profit would be a smart move???

S - Mt DGE are still -ve, but I will wait on divi and the rise again.

Waiting on Plus to drop to buy to get that big divi next week!!

S - I just set it and left it!!!!
Otherwise I may have sold earlier!

M - yes, engine bay is generally clean, but still some dirt and oily grime around. Full length arm stretch past pipes throttle oil catch can and cables to get at it ... scraped, cut, bruised and oily nails / finger tips after!
And I used barrier cream and thin gloves to do most of the work!!!

Still, working OK now, and new one on order.

Don't you just hate it when you order from a .Co.UK website and find it's based overseas - Germany in this case! So won't be next day delivery!!

My CINE sold on a limit sell while I was out getting the paper / petrol, so near 10p/share, 18.8% profit.

T - It was just a catch up with old work mates.

Family still not keen to go out unneccessarily , especially to eat!

S - correct, no square on the back to turn, and a pain to get at!!!
Don't think it was electrical issue, thought it may have been broken teeth on starter gear or flywheel ring gear, but I think it was just sticky from clutch dust - I moved it by hand cleaned the shaft and moving bits, bit of copaslip and refitted - been fine for 12 hours!!!
