As I type...Down....3.65 % and no Modi1 trial start. Will SCLP achieve their own timescale ?

Current SP ...Unbelievable...but down again as I type . As a "covid stock" here's no interest in SCLP until data is produced in relation to this variant.

How can we be ? Everything is in the open and there has been exposure of our vaccine by Sky , the Telegraph and cyndicated news agencies.
I would wager that it is more a case of lack of interest and reliance on the 3 main covid vaccines until Scancell produce some positive data.

Well, after Friday's knee jerk reaction and no press coverage in the main streem media over the weekend... it looks like only data from Covidity will move the SP (up hopefully).
Let's hope Modi1 trial start RNS will arrive this side of Christmas to support SCLP at 20p

I do wonder what " pool " of patients/ recruits the Western Cape Lung Institute draws from. If it is mainly from poor areas then there may be an issue with HIV , TB (trial exclusion ?? )and poor education leading to vaccine resistance. There are quite alot of trials in SA, I wonder if some companies ..or agencies recruiting for them...actively or passively recruit?
Either way 40 doesn't seam like a large number to achieve.

The news agencies say only about 40% of the population of SA is vaccinated so there should be a large pool to draw 40 patients ...and ..."expenses" paid.

Roses, also I hope .. and expect...that SCLP will ride the "covid" wave next week. Some UK covid stocks went up by 30% on Friday. We weren't too bad with intra-day highs slipping towards the close.

It will be essential Covidity works against this new varient...

Secondly, why doesn't J Ball give Scancell a mention ... perhaps seen as a conflict of interest??
Press coverage this weekend would be great. I think it's very " telling " SCLP retweeted the article about their vaccine today... in my opinion it indicates all is going well.
Wonder if SCLP have the opportunity to test against this new mutation.. now that would generate a good news story.

Bobbust, we aren't exactly galloping ahead this morning despite having a horse in the race....at least Scancell have got a tweet out about their vaccine this am.

Balerno, I'm not too concerned, Capetown university would able to conduct the trial with "remote" help from Scancell ..they offer everything needed, have a look at their research Web page.

Chester, totally agree. Just think ..one day SCLP will be going up /down 20 odd pence per day and we will have invested and helped to build the foundations of a great bio company.

....well its certainly amazingly cheap...down currently 3.66%....roll on 2022 !!

On page 26 it clearly states modi1 has ethics approval..granted in October.

10:48 emptyend: Just for interest, I learned yesterday that Redmile were originally contacted by Scancell c.3yrs ago, via an introduction through BionTec. Nothing came of it for some while but then certain personal contacts reactivated it and the deal was done (at such a low share price that Redmile struggled to put enough in - hence the structure). I'm told that they remain in close contact, though are not yet looking for a board seat (my own guess is that they will have one within two years, as the company moves from pure science into commercialisation; personally I'd think the sooner the better...)
