Chester, ethics approval for modi1 this week would be great. I can see the need for ethics approval but what a drag ....so near , so close !!

Bob, it may be prudent to start at 1 per day but if no side effects ... quickly ramp up . Not too long before second dose being administered on 5th Nov . Exciting times.

Morning everyone, my point last night was that I believe SCLP are very close to proving up "proof of concept" for Covidity. I therefore don't think CEPI will fund us as a pharma will surely take over Covidity. This has to be a more profitable route for us as shareholders.

Morning all. My point last night is that I don't think that we will get funding as SCLP are very close to proving "proof of concept" for Covidity.
Far better in opinion to sign up with a large pharmaceutical if the initial results are positive.

This is what CEPI stated in their original announcement in March :
OSLO, Norway, March 31, 2021: CEPI, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, today launched a call for proposals to develop broadly protective SARS-CoV-2 vaccines and broadly protective Betacoronavirus vaccines. CEPI plans to invest up to US$200 million in promising vaccine candidates up to clinical proof of concept.

SCLP will be getting Covidity data from SA already.....so.....looking at the last sentence SCLP may be able to declare "proof of concept" in a relatively short time frame. So... are we ahead of the game and therefore don't need CEPI funding and /or don't fit the criteria anymore ?

Well ...it's now day 16 from the first pt dosed in SCLPs Covidity trial in SA.
13 days until the second jab for this pt , I make that dose due on the 3rd of November ( second dose at day 29). Not long to go and I certainly don't think a second jab would be given if there were any concerns. All going well hopefully.
Would be lovely to see the Modi1 trial "recruiting" but this could be announced very soon.

Hasiba, agree with you but it's rather like the chicken and egg scenario. Expanded research and development may very well lead to the deals we seek. However , as you say it all comes at a cost with no current revenue. Covidity and or Modi1 may well lead to something.....but so far with SCLP its always been jam tomorrow.

It would be good to have some interest in SCLP this week. Guess as long as we hold 21 p it's just a waiting game for the Modi1 trial start and any positive updates from Covidity. Its interesting watching VAL and how quickly it has increased in value. Goes to show how quickly a bio can turn. I'm still annoyed that SCLP used outdated info in their latest RNS - just poor management in my opinion.

Re the RNS, SCLP really irritates me at times. In the bumph below the RNS it mentions re Covidity "anticipate " starting a trial, and likewise for Modi no mention of the imminent trial. I know it's only notification of final results but why not take this opportunity to get out there to the wider market the progress SCLP have made. Why attach outdated information and not put yourself in the best light? I feel it reflects poorly on the management's regard towards their investors.

Odd trades from 16:12 onwards...frequent very small sells. Are these used to drive the bid down ?

Safety data would give the green light to CEPI funding and to any big pharma ! We know that this could happen per Christmas ...and then we have Modi1 trial start ...soon .

Guys..re the data.. have you seen the trials unit at the Western Cape University Hospital website. its a world class outfit and offers a complete service , data interpretation etc etc. As SCLP is such a small company ( although growing following recent recruitment) my question is... do you think any "data / stats etc etc " will get farmed out? Or will it be kept strictly in house ? This question applies to both current trials . Thanks .

Well, not much love for SCLP today despite the excellent news yesterday. A spread of over 4% doesn't add much encouragement.
Have folks and the stockmarket just got "bored" with covid and moved on? Brixit replaced by Covid .. replaced by Afghanistan..replaced by fuel shortage...human nature is fickle and every pharma seams to have a covid product these days, perhaps this is why the response is non existent to yesterday's very oddly timed RNS.
What is great about SCLP is we are not a one trick pony ...roll on modi 1 etc

Thanks hasiba, I know I am being impatient and could not sell now for fear of missing out after all this time and supporting fund raises. I know SCLP have reached a point when any number of products could raise significant value. What's another year ....but thanks for your kind words and good luck to you with your investments.

Trial data , method , etc etc has been submitted... . and approved. I would hope there are NO alterations now.

Hi Chester, I wish I could share your confidence. I'm very positive in the science and by my own admission , probably over invested. I don't however have any confidence in how SCLP is run by management and the failure to strike deals. I am glad CH is gone and appreciate the BOD has been strenghened of late. I would have sold up had it not been for Redmile. Covidity will be the standard I now judge SCLP, if they bugger this up then I will sell my holding. I just can't imagine why the trial has not got off the ground yet. SCLPs track record makes me worry . I keep coming back to the point .... are SCLP able to transform from a research outfit into a commercial company. Covidity will give me the answer.

Well ...unless we get a mid day RNS I'm going to confidently predict an RNS next week re trial start.
