Chester et al...perhaps the placing price will act as the floor and organisations now know thay with funding sorted ...they will need to buy a position on the open market. Was the increased placing enough to satisfy their appetite or is there still a latent demand. Fingers crossed we get a well deserved re-rate !

Cleanerworld, I'm with HL, in the past they send an email saying " you have a new secure message please log into your account" .

In your account under your "normal" line for Scancell shares, it will eventually have a line for your additional shares and a you can put in how many additional shares you want. It will give you the cost. You just then need to ensure you have the funds in your account or top up .

This was my experience last time with HL.

"Scancell has also received MHRA correspondence requesting a preclinical mouse safety study with iSCIB1+ prior to resubmission of the amendment to the current trial protocol to include a new parallel cohort with the double CPIs with iSCIB1+. Management do not see any potential issue with this regulatory request having previously completed identical studies with SCIB1. The iSCIB1+ cohort is now expected to start in Q1 2024."

Guess the mouse study won't take long if Scancell anticipate completing this and gaining approval post resubmission. Q1 for iScib start date.... one can only hope Scancell (with their history) meet this target ... but it may be late Q1 . I hope Scancell are pulling out all the stops !!

What I don't understand, is surely iScib has been tested in mice already for safety etc ...and why this data was not included in the original application to MHRA ??

Dragon , that's a brilliant post and i agree entirely, the fiasco with BDO really harmed the SP and the placing may have been at a higher price. History now , onwards and upwards !!

Douve, as chief moaner , I totally agree and empathise with everything you have stated. Scancell has been run as a research facility for years and years...not as an agressive bio start up producing excellent results. Past management has been a total failure in getting deals . With luck, the new appointments may be the change needed.

Yes, I feel empathy for all cancer patients and like everyone on this board I have lost friends and close family to cancer. That said, I've invested in a company not a charity. We have all talked about pivitol years....well next year really is boom or bust . I guess the comfort is that the current and new investors in the placement see a greater potential for a boom rather than a bust.

I won't take up my placement shares...simply don't have the cash to be honest . I really hope we have new investors like Redmile and Vulps or we will end up with an overhang depressing the SP if they sell into any rise. Hoping 11p is now the floor but not expecting any significant SP rise untill something gets sold .

Almost a billion shares in issue now...so my target of 50p = a bid of arounnd 500million, quite a premium ...about 5x our market capital....its possible I hope !

Now a market cap of only 89.9 million. Very small change to global pharmas even with a premium added. It must get to the point that its logical and far cheaper to buy Scancell outright rather than license a product. Guess Redmiles stake is preventing this?

Those selling today driving the SP down.. again.. are taking a very big gamble probably anticipating buying back in around April. I know the jist from the AGM was pharmas are waiting for more data... but if there's competition it may be someone blinks first and gets a bid in early doors. This could happen at any time. Scib after all has been around for ages and there's data from the original trial that must be in the mix when mulling over a bid or not. So selling is a gamble ... you may miss the unexpected early bid...

C11, I think Chester is correct. Scancell will hopefully update the market regularly and as this information is RNSed it may be enough for a pharma to bid ....hopefully.
