I too cannot fathom how a company can generate such a rally of interest as the last couple of days with nothing material to demonstrate other than media hype and frenzy. What have they done to generate a 40% + rise in price? Is it the case that the bb's, tweeters and media just love hyping it and punters pile in because it ** happens every year?**
There have been many occasions when they have closed UK and US markets up, and then fallen back to earth following ASX hesitation to join in, so where is the prevailing market? UK and US qwerty boards?
I bought high in 2019, and watched it crumble. Started buying on the lows and held until it started to go down following this last winter's effort. I cannot complain as I sold @ 50% up, but after three years chose not to spend the summer and autumn wondering if it will rise and put it elsewhere. My concern in buying back in is will it show cyclical rise as it has previously, or has it spent the energy that usually generates pre freeze. Nobody has a crystal ball I suppose, but something tells me too many fingers burnt that will be hesitant to buy.
Time will tell...
WAussie what do you think 88 will do over the next few months? Is there anything they can sell to punters that will see the share price rise leading into the Alaskan winter? More the point, will punters avoid the hype and pretty presentation videos that get released as it's wearing thin? Imo they can only polish the t^^d so much, and the latest efforts on the ice may well have put people off investing.
It's what follows the question mark that is questionable, GS. Why feel the need to be so personal? I could understand if you knew the person and had a gripe, but he is just another poster on an anonymous bulletin board.
Why wind yourself up so much? You won't change it.
I wish I could share your optimistic opinion Init.
It's across the board with the whole of Europe and FTSE. Jitters are set in, and imo will continue until some stability is found primarily with Ukraine.
Let's hope we can find a swift resolve, but that is looking ominous at the moment.
Thank you all for the input and work you are sharing. I find it somewhat refreshing to read positive comment opposed to some of the negative dross that has graced this bb over the last few days...
Enjoy your weekend and hopefully the weather!
Imo and fwiw, I think the blocks are too uniform to be PI's moving on dips. No expert, but it could be viewed as an attempt to start movement in an otherwise stagnant share price. There's very little info from MBO to stimulate investors.
