It's showing strength across the pond, but imo the UK market is nervous given the economic state and flux in sterling.
When this goes, it will go up very quickly.
"Light touch-paper and stand back".
About time!
GLA.
I can't see that being sustainable if, and it's a big if the market picks up and MBO attracts more investment. At its current price and a buy-out at @12 its still a healthy buy.

FCA quote up to 6 months for application approval. Do you know when they applied?
Anybody have any information? I have a feeling in my bones that something is going on....
My take on this is that you could be looking in too deeply? Only my opinion, but if you take the "noisy neighbours" as an example, with all the hype that has previously attracted pre-drill and result surges in prices only to dissapoint (myself being hugely dissapointed and taking 3 years to claw back) then PANR are on another level. I understand the frustration of waiting, but personnaly feel far more confident with this stock than I ever did with 88, UK fracs and other, so-called amazing find oilers. Imo the board release info when it's worth releasing and not to pacify the markets or drum up trade.
As for pacifieing your good lady? Well holding on is your decision, and any profit is profit irrespective of percentage. My view again, so please don't think I'm trying to patronise. Your hard earned cash is valuable as is mine, but it's your call to hold and non of us have a crystal ball. I wish we did.

It does seem to me that there is a reluctance to publish updates giving some reassurance to investors. The share has stood stagnant for months and imo it would help if the BOD started communicating.
Today's rise will flag up on market heat-maps, so I'm hoping it might attract some more positive investment.
Let's hope it stays rising...
Good question and I found this article that may go some way to explaining it.

Hopefully so Latino, as I've just taken the opportunity to average out a little. Hopefully others will take up on the lower price and we get some market movement as it's been stagnant far too long.
40% down and still in profit?
Well done you. A long wait for some of us to achieve that....
Imo the price should stabilise over the next day or two on the strength of today's report. If anything it's looking more like a long term investment what with released plans for production testing and 3D modelling which will bring the whole of Alkaid in to play. Thankfully it doesn't attract trading activity similar to 88's, which by now would be getting pumped all across the planet.
Certainly not looking for a scrap or qwerty war, but fwiw this is what I think....
Some get irate when Scot is in full flow as he doesn't pull punches, so to speak. Is it really worth getting wound up over anonymous and faceless comments? No. This is an informative BB and not about making friends. What is worth taking on board is the wealth of information and fact-based material that Scot posts.
You don't have to be his/her "mate", but do give credit for the effort and research that is posted. Scot has probably forgotten more than most of us will ever know, and I don't have a problem with that.
It has happened before with companies but I doubt very much it's the case with PANR. I have always felt confident with the way they release information, and imo always seem to be truthful. Although not a small amount of trade, the risk and penalty of being exposed for insider trading would be huge and damaging to the company image. Imo again not his style.... simply exercising his right to sell whenever he chooses.
All in my opinion, of course!
