It is amazing how FAB have managed to acquire Pedro from Fairjourney biologics, a competitor company that was brought out privately in 2024 for 900 million euros. I speculate how this transaction came about as it is very intriguing, according to LinkedIn Pedro was a very involved employee with his former company. Having someone with Pedro’s experience getting the orders in for optimal is such a blessing as he can bring his networking and marketing acumen inherited from his previous role. Fair journey are in a different league to FAB with much higher budgets at the moment but they must be so stressed now with how optimal directly affects their own future pipeline and sales revenue.
No matter how big an organisation it is only as good as how current its tech is, who knows in 5-10’years something will come to better optimal.
I don’t wish bad for anyone but they need to seriously consider collaborating or putting in an offer for FAB outright. Everyone will be able to see the marketing literature and any pharma that can save time and money in future projects will have no reason not to show preference for Optimal. Unfortunately Fairjourney and any other competitors cannot bury their head in the sand any further. Senior level decision makers are in a difficult predicament. I wonder how many more staff may consider the move over to Fusion antibodies, we shall wait and see…..
