I am confident that the assay results will be very good, however maybe that needed the funds to get things moving quickly and placing after the assays would have been too late. All the news, evidence etc suggests the assay will be positive imo. Expecting a strong recovery in the sp now as we await further news.

It's not the delay as such, it's the lack of news from OMI. It's the uncertainty that is the killer here as we have no info relating to the delay, based on the timescale given.

Just would be good to know what the delay, as it would seem without confirmation, relates to. Invaribly any delay is always seen as a negative by the market and scares investors leading to a falling sp. That said this is temporary either way and i expect the sp to re start the move back up any time. The sp went from below 10p to the mid 40s in quick time when we had the new drilling partner announced, so i suspect a strong recovery in the sp. Seen this so many times when people sell out due to panick etc and the sp invariably recovers. OMI is in a very strong position so the sp will recover very soon and catch some out imo

Another poor start to OMI. I think the reason for the drop is no drilling news which we should have heard about now. The RNS said quote "it is anticipated that one rig should commence operation within a week to 10 days, with a second rig to be mobilised soon after, once operations have commenced safely" This should have happened by now but no RNS to say. Poor comms from OMI hence the drop i suspect. Disappointing, however i'm confident all is good and maybe a slight delay. The sp will bounce back in a big way at some point, just have to wait for that to happen and top up if possible.

As usual i guess people were in the know. So maybe selling out knowing they could buy back lower. Could also be a reason for the sp being unable to breach the 0.5p mark. Typically aim, that said it means ALBA will now have a strong cash balance going forward. All projects are looking strong so i do expect the sp to recover quickly. Also i now feel the 0.5p barrier will have gone so expecting a good recovery in the sp with a move over 0.5p very soon

Hindsight Bhargav. I never expected the sp to fall below 25p to be honest and the present sp is just crazy. Had to sell some other shares reluctantly to get more OMI. The sp behaviour today is strange and i suspect the MMs are aware of news anytime, eg drilling news, so are looking to gather shares as someone already mentioned. Either way the sp has been way oversold, buying at these levels has been difficult and the sp is due an almighty bounce back up....wish i had your share holding...lol

I think drilling news should have been released by now so maybe a reason for the sp negativity as no rns as yet, however i think all is good but it does give the MMs an excuse to drop the sp and worry investors.....expecting drilling news any day now.

The sp has fallen over 50% from it's high in the 40's so the downside now is very limited imo however a move to the upside is more odds on now imo. Drilling news due anytime and MMs making buys difficult so really expecting a move to the upside imminently hence my buy also today

Well been itching to top up so had to sell some other shares reluctantly and just got another 40k here, had to go to NT to get order filled. Was unable to buy without NT. Even 10k shares went to NT. Typical MM games. Drop the price but restrict buying. Expecting good news anytime now

Sadly Mr P. i sold at around the 3p mark and had a much bigger holding then but managed to get back in around the 7p mark but with a much smaller holding. If i just held my nerve then i would be in a much better position...hindsight...so i fully understand the frustrations that aim shares can bring.

I also had the mis fortune of selling out of GGP when they dropped to about 1p, so i have made my fair share of bad calls. This is why i get the frustration with the way the sp has dropped to where it is and understand people selling and the negativity thats builds up, but it will come good in a very big way and now is a very good time to top up as we are at the lows before the next big move up. Sometimes the best policy is just to hold and wait for the news to come instead of jumping ship hoping to profit elsewhere. I've tried that many time and lost out on most occasions. Just wish i had the spare funds to top up at these levels. Expecting some positive news any time and a big move back up. The MMs know big news is due and will switch to the upside immediately with positive news. This will catch many out imo.

Agree Mr P. I've sold other shares in the past and indeed OMI back in the day when all seemed doom and gloom, only to see the shares get a new lease of life and rebound in a big way...this drop from the highs of around 40p + has been well over sold. All the news is positive and the drop has been protracted and the MMs are always happy to ablige. Drilling news is due and sp is well oversold so i'm expecting a big move back up

The sp is still trying to break the 0.5p mark, each day we get closer and the pressure when news lands will blow the top off the 0.5p mark. Have to be in it to win. When news lands, it will be impossible to buy in at these low levels imo. All looking good but just have to wait for news to land. Those trying to get in lower will take a big risk of missing out on the much bigger gains as Alba progress their assets. Better to be in at a relatively low level and just wait for news which is so close and will come any day now imo

The sp has been dragging on the floor for some time now and no doubt and actual buys/sells that we see don't always reflect the true picture. It is at these times, that it makes sense to load up whilst you can as this present sp surpression is just short term and it will move back up very soon. All about patience and focusing on all the positives in play here. I would like to top up but out of funds at the moment but ever hopeful. Either way the present sp is at such an articial low level but this is temporary

It's obvious certain derampers have an agenda, whether to allow them to buy in lower or help their short/spreadbet or maybe they are just complete idiots that crave the attention their drivel gets. As has been mentioned, best to filter if needed. To more important stuff now, big new due very soon and expecting a big instant re rate in the sp.....:)

The 0.50p level has been such a tough nut to crack, however this level will crack very soon imo and this should result in a move quickly upwards to surpass this level once and for all. Clogau news is so close now and will come any time and then expecting a very big move up in the sp. Expecting a minimum of 1p on Clogau news with a strong move up from that level

This may be true to a point TullyCrow however i guess it depends on the type of news that comes out. Clearly, with hindsight today's news wasn't good enough to support the sp rise till the close of play. Some shares just keep on rising and can move massively intraday and into the close depending on the news. I guess news such as assay results is what will really move the sp big time. Wonder when these will be released?

5 mins to close and typically the sp gets knocked right back down. Disappointing despite a good solid RNS. I guess it will be assay results that will really get a good boost here. Should have guessed the sp would just get wilted down near as the day closes

Does seem like the sp has been surpressed to allow some big buys to go through. The sp has been at these relatively low levels for quite a few days now. Drilling imminent. Expecting the sp to move back up now as i feel the present surpression has run it's course and the MMs have achieved their goal. Once this does start to move up, it should move back up very quickly imo. Now to focus on drilling and the continued move back up in the sp

Sp definitely been surpressed and pushed down for quite a while now. Usual MM tactics as we await news. Big spread and people get fed up of waiting and sell as the MMs happily gether shares to sell when big news drops. Expecting positive news re:assays any time with a big move in the sp.
