This is the frustrating thing with the sp...waiting for results is fair enough but to have the sp just keep falling pretty much every day makes no sense....if anything I would expect the sp to be building back up as we draw closer to drilling results....bigger forces at work suppressing the sp imo...this will change at some point and the sp will begin the upwards climb again

Now an acquisition would be good, could really boost the sp unexpectedly and catch many out. With no news i would hope the rot will stop at the placing price at worst, which is very close now anyway. Either way the present sp does provide a great top up opportunity for those with spare funds. Just have to hold and ride this touigh time out...a spark of good news will really cause a big move up in the sp imo

Sp getting cheaper day by day...I guess the sp was destined to gravitate towards the placing price...tends to happen so often with aim shares...not expecting anything particularly positive from the agm tomorrow...agms tend to be pretty standard non events...would be happy to be proved wrong and we get some positive news that moves the sp upwards....just a painful disappointing time as we await drilling news at present

This constant grind down is getting ridiculous....absolutely no reason for this continuous depression in the sp...MM games I think...sp way over due a move back up...

Placing sorted, Directors now bought, options sorted...can't seen any reason now for the sp to be still stagnating at these low levels. The eye before the storm. Would expect the sp to be moving up now.

Would be nice to finally get some good news that actually boosts the sp. Most of the RNS's lately have not been good for the sp sadly. That said, now the BOD have bought their shares and got their options sorted, i'm sure they will be happy for the drilling news to be released...due any time now imo

Expecting the sp to start climbing back up now...I do think the sp has been surpressed to allow the options to be issued at a low price...ie issued based on closing price on tsx. ..placing at 17p which is good for mates not for shareholders...BOD gave little notice that drilling had started...then BOD buy a small level of shares so the MMs easily can drop the sp and finally issue an rns about share options a day after....mmm...very sneaky imo....that said the anchor on the sp has now gone and the BOD will benefit greatly now with an increased sp which is also now good for us shareholders....all systems go for big drilling news now

Now options granted gives the BOD a great incentive to get the sp moving up...wonder why they could not have published today's rns with the share purchases yesterday...would have helped to clear up the confusion why they did not buy so many shares...either way this is positive imo

Hope you are right Mr P and we start getting some blue days again. Director's buying is usually a positive for shares but since the purchases were rather low, i reckon the MMs took advantage of this rather muted news and were able to drop the sp quite easily. Sp getting close to the recent placing price and the sp is actually below what the director buys were at, so would say the sp is pretty much at the bottom now. A bit of positivity and the sp will move back up quickly imo

What with all the low volume sells. Seems very strange. Drilling news a day closer. Could be announced any day now. How will the sp react, thats the 64 million dollar question....fingers crossed

Does seem recent events and the continual falling sp have knocked sentiment somewhat. Very understandable imo especially with the way drilling news was announced. Very bad comms from OMI in that respect. Seems deja vu is is an appropriate term at this time, however been in many aim shares where sentiment has turned sour and seemingly no positives, so i sell out and not long after things turn around for the better. Very easy to lose heart at times but 2 big companies are paying for the drilling in a very good loaction. They would not be doing so if they were not confident of the positives in play. At least drilling is now happening so just a waiting game for a bit longer i guess

Good assessment of recent events Sharetrader123. There have a few negatives of late and no real positives to speak of. I previously sold out around the 3p mark when nothing was seemingly happening then some big positive news finally came, ie Agnico coming on board, with a very strong and quick move up in the sp to the 40s. Having a feeling recent history could well repeat itself when drill results come out. Have to hold and wait it seems despite the present seemingly negative state of affairs. Will be holding and waiting for results and topping up if i can till then

Can't believe the sp is still falling even after director buys, agree the 17p placing has been bad for the sp performance. Does seem no real good news has been released for a while, news that is good for the sp that is. Still believe this is a strong buy but really can't understand the constant decline in the sp at this stage of play. AGM due very soon also. Doubt if that will have any positive impact on the sp though, AGM's rarely do. Still If i had spare funds i would be topping up without a doubt as the sp will be moving back up very soon imo. This present grind down pretty much every day though is getting very tiresome and disappointing. Hope this will change soon.

Great 1st post rockingoose, very well put with a lot of thought and insight in your first post. Definitely allows one to stand back and look at the wider picture. Helps to cement the view that big things will be happening here and with the sp still at a very low level, i would expect a big re rate of the sp going forward. Big money can be made by getting in at the early stages. Buy in low, let things move along, forget about the day to day moves and just hold as the sp climbs much higher over time as the jigsaw comes together

Agree, I believe the directors will be awarded stock option going forward. Makes logical sense for the directors. Also i think as results and drilling continues, Newmont will be considering a buy out early on. My guess latter part of 2021 for a possible buyout.

Yes, placing out of the way and the sp has been stuck at these levels for a while and with drilling news due anytime, maybe the sp is due a move back up now. All looking good, just need the sp to reflect the positives that Alba have

On balance the sp has declined a fair bit, so is undervalued imo, and has been stuck around this level for a while now, the directors now have shares in the company, drilling is happening so news could about results likely very soon, money in the bank and no placing it seems for a while. Volume also low so maybe those that wanted to sell have done so. Maybe now the sp can start the rise back up. Way more positives than negatives in play imo

It would make sense for the directors to have share option given to them. It acts as an incentive to them and also they don't neccessarly need to hold many shares with discounted share options being given.

Would have expected a bigger share purchase from the directors . Maybe they believe even the relatively small purchases will be worth a great deal more going forward or maybe they are due some options or other reward....?

It can be difficult to ascertain which are buys and which are sells. Why can't we have a spread that shows the real situation? Sadly it is because it helps the MMs imo and just another method for them to muddy the waters in their favour. Aim is very much skewed in their favour and they use this and many other tactics for themselves. That said, sometimes it is easier to just switch off and wait for a few weeks and months when the real big news starts rolling in. Till then watching day to day movements just causes more frustration. Much as i know this, i still watch day to day...lol... The direction is positive so it is just a waiting game.
