Good solid positive RNS. This now helps to give Alba a starting base to build upon. So much more big news to come. With the placing done and dusted, i would expect the sp to build up to higher levels over the coming days and weeks. Any doubt about the positive nature of the assets at Clogau have gone imo. Surprised the sp is not higher after today's news, however aim works in a mysterious way at times. That said i expect the sp will start moving up and go from strength to strength going forward. We also have the Grennland assets to focus on as well. The coming future is looking very storng for Alba and thus the sp

Does seem the placing and drilling news heve been perceived poorly understandably and lumping in the drilling news with a placing is sneaky if anything imo. Drilling news does seem to have been completely overshadowed by the placing sadly as well. Really hope we can get some positives from OMI over the coming days leading upto the AGM to counter a very disappoining day. Sentiment has been hit somewhat and the previous positive sentiment has been knocked. Better comms would have prevented a negative reaction imo. I still think the present sp is dirt cheap with what OMI have but some positive news to boost the sp would be very welcome now

Good luck Hopefulpatience. Always good to book a profit. Wish i could do the same. Understand your sceptism towards OMI after todays RNS. It has caught many of us out including me. OMI are now drilling which is very good imo, however it does seem OMI held back on drilling news to include it with the placing news. The placing was overrsubscribed with suggests very strong demand for shares. I would have thought OMI could have set the placing price higher though. That said a good part of the placing revenue does appear to be for a new project maybe which again is a positive imo. I fully expect the sp to recover and toda'ys disappointment will be forgotted very quickly. OMI is now drilling with more to follow. Expecting big results and a big recovery in the sp. The placing news does seem strange at this time and i suspect that a project has come to OMI's attention and they need the funds quickly to allow OMI to look into it. Seems like the only logical reason imo.

Drilling started on time with second drill due to start very soon. Placing oversubscribed so expecting the sp to start progessing upwards as we await drilling news and maybe some other project news now funds have been gained by OMI

Didn't expect the placing. It was oversubscribed so if the sp drops it will recover quickly. Also drilling has started already and the second rig is due to start in a few days. So all looking very promising on balance. Wish i had funds to top up as any drop will be bought into very quickly imo

Maybe one of the other partners would be interested in Alba's HH stake. Sad to see how poor HH has performed over the years. Got into UKOG and sold out at a loss when it was a few pence a long time ago now. Amazing to see how low the present sp of UKOG is now. That said Alba are in a much better position with excellent assets. Big news very soon and a much higher sp to follow. The recent placing was a shock but now it's out of the way, i'm expecting the sp to start moving back up over the coming days.

I vaguely remember George talking about options for the future in a video which mentioned selling their HH stake to fund other projects ie Clogau and Greenland. Just something that stuck in my mind and i thought at the time that it would make sense to get rid of their HH stake as i don't think it really adds any real value to Alba. Maybe someone else could confirm if i have got this right or not. Either way selling their HH stake would gain revenue that can be put to much better use imo

Excellent interview from Pierre. A very experienced, knowledgable and wise person. Heard a previous interview from him not long ago. He talks sense and understands the dynamics of gold in a big way. All looking very good for gold price going forward. Gold mining very profitable for big miners now. All bodes very well for OMI's sp with 2 majors drilling in an amazing location with all the resources available. Just shows how undervalued OMI really is

Don't think there is a leak as such, but we know drilling news must be due anyitme and the sp is way undervalued. 2 positives to move the sp anyway. Also maybe the MMs are now happy to allow the sp to move up. More than happy if there is a leak of some good news to be released. It is due after all

Drilling news must be due any time imo, either way the sp is way undervalued and has been surpressed for too long and is due a bounce back up. And with news due, the sp should move back up strongly. As confidence builds the sp will just move up even quicker

I think the assays will be very good imo and the funding is just needed to move things forward at quick pace. My guess is that they could not wait for the assays so did a placing asap. Very frustrating non the less.

Agree TullyCrow. The placing was a shock and the timing seems a bit strange but then again this is Aim and trying to work out the why's are impossible. No doubt some have now sold however this is how people lose sight of the big rewards that are there imo. The present sp is a great point to top up or get in as a new investor. The dust will settle very quickly as we focus on the main event. They now have extra funding and all looks very positive going forward. Can only really see positive news now that will actually move the sp up strongly.

Yes that would be great for confidence and to really get the sp moving back up. An RNS saying the second drill has started with the first one already doing the business. That was a thought that i also had in mind.

Agree. They previously said drilling would start 7 to 10 days from the RNS dated 10th Nov.

That time has now passed and no info from them. Starting to think that maybe drilling has already started and OMI have just not bothered to advise via RNS. Hope this is the case. I think the MMs have used the lack of news as another reason to surpress/drop the sp combined with people selling due to nervousness. At some point the sp will shoot back up. Way over sold now imo. A move back to the upside is due any time

If by December that means the 1st and the plant is still in SA, then air freight would be the logical solution to meet that time frame. Clearly it is all speculation as we don't have enough info to be sure. And yes i would like things to move quicker...each to their own

I'm sure they would be able to bring it via air freight if necessary. Why waste time sending it by ship. They have a health cash balance now so don't think the cost by air would be a problem. Makes sense to get it up and running asap imo

I'm sure they would have sourced the plant from the UK if possible. The fact it is from overseas suggests that was the best option imo. Either way, the sooner it is deliver and working, the better. Really could do with some positive news now, something that boosts the sp that is
