When trying to establish Luika facts/findings, together with Porcupine South extension, I was told to check out Achimwene gold mine.

It seems to be a relatively new startup 50+ km due east of NLGM.

re: interview - I had the same discussion on tactical step taken by two other CEOs . . . was satisfied with both of them. One is on song with a 13-well promising MS gas programme, the other nicely proceeding with higher Au production.

I now agree capital markets are tight and will become more so. Generally it's time to hunker down for an indifferent period (= recession).

Nyakafuru, Caracal's nascent exploration target, may present an opportunity but the company needs to brush up on its ideas. They describe it as 140 km from Mwanza. In fact the village is nearly 300 km away.

Kilimapesa has suffered labour unrest under previous ownership and I am unsure the problems have gone away.

Overall my p/f has been treading water this year. AIM is generally confined to companies with solid balance sheets, in profit and paying a divi.

SHG following the heady days of 19/20p is steadily extending its credentials. My bias is largely a result of being involved with SA mining and engineering since the '70s . . . perhaps misplaced when it comes to the Lake Victoria goldfields/Lihranda corridor. Whether 5m Au ozs MRE is reached is a moot point.

Crucially we are going deeper and I anticipate some good grades at Luika Deeps as 600+ metre probes are attempted. A good yardstick will be equivalent targets at Geita and Bulyanhulu: what's found there at depth is likely to be replicated throughout Songwe and WK.
