Surprisingly no one has commented on probes now reaching over "800 m" (>2,500'). I suspect white quartz veins and other features are very pronounced around Bushi/Isulu leading to strong mineralisation at depth. Normally very few junior explorers/miners go to such extremes unless there is a very good reason.

Mark Bristow has made it clear he is looking to expand operations in East Africa. WK is likely included in his bucket list.

Frankly disappointed by KR's decision and looking for alternative choices in the Lindi region. Would therefore appreciate any views from anyone who knows more about Mtwara/Ruvuma basin. AEX is perhaps one alternative route to follow although that, too, has had reverses.

I drafted a lengthy response to PS's very useful observations and then thought better of it. I should also remember my scathing comments about getting water up from the Orange in the company's first years. Larry deserves a medal sticking it out in Warmbad for five years, if that is where he rested his head at night. Three points:

a) operating a company out of Caerphilly, previously Cardiff as with Amerisur Plc (AMER), is a crackpot decision
b) tinkering with exhausted deposits will have one result only
c) if the board chose to examine Cu opportunities up at Otavi, Tsumeb, etc or (say) soda ash conversion at Swakopmund from its salt pans or rock salt extraction all the way to KaapKruis it then becomes a worthy consideration

I did regular business in Kleinzee, Port Nolloth, Luderitz, Swakop/Walvis, Windhoek etc. When DeBeers pulled out the writing was on the wall; diamond grit was unlikely to support anyone.

As the KZG website is currently being upgraded some hope may remain.

I was prepared to follow the company because of targets to the south but now have misgivings. Kilimapesa is unlikely to flourish as a standalone . . . and Nyakafuru may now never see any drilling under the present regime.

I don't suppose there is any prospect of revisiting the SMP shamozzle but can always hope as we are leaving a good opportunity behind. There are fair grades east of ElizabethHill all the way through to PorcupineSouth with some strike lengths up to 1,500 m . . . and Saza was once the country's second largest gold mine (with a fair Ag component).

Also noted Eric made no reference to PorcupineSouth stripping this year, but perhaps he was suffering with a dose of 'flu.

w.r.t to Kenya and the extensive illegal mining activity refer to zama-zama videos which are probably numerous. I get emails on the subject from Sandton as gunfights are becoming more frequent on the Reef. Similar incidents are likely to occur around Kakamega, etc in future.

. . . maybe a 3m oz Au inferred resource this year. The important point is the presence of a feasibility study specialist in Kakamega/Kisumu.

To avoid cluttering the board WK fans should examine all links on Karebe Gold (not to be confused with Wagusu camp/Kerebe-Bombo).

I have followed the Karebe operation for several years, mainly because of a belief on its white quartz deep vein potential. The company has ~300 employees and is the only recognised Au miner in Kenya. They have been in combat mode with the informal sector but it is interesting, if not reassuring, to note the local "constabulary" stepped in a few times.

I have great expectations on the rich quartz/granitic characteristics and their depth in the corridor . . . yet another reason to hear what Yuri has to say about the feature and WK subject.

[Also keep an eye on Jiten Divecha (Singida) offerings. He is almost certain to add comments. Drone footage on the Mang'onyi site would be welcomed.]
