Was reviewing Aviva and Acacia drill results last night. What you have said on Yuri's performance at Lihranda is quite extraordinary. Previous drill ops would seem to have been in the wrong places.

Another EZ point is introducing the word "dome" for what I believe is the first time. We knew of the Kakamega 40-metre Dome Rock but not the geological feature. No articles can be traced yet on the subject. I am familiar with the extensive Kabompo Dome(s) in Zambia, which indirectly led to the Sentinel mine and others, but had no idea that there was a similar subterranean protrusion in WK.

It puts Bushi/Isulu/Rosterman in an entirely different light.

With the drill bit already probing ~500 metres (with results) we are now looking at a potentially very big mining company. A similar story at Lupa would signal a major Tier 1. Another Western Deep in fact.

The incidentals such as Yuri's appointment, KK Security training, etc were significant. Also, Mama Samia's statements in Dodoma, when implemented, are going to transform the landscape in Tanz.

Had another read of the ageing SRK report to decide how much more mileage is available in Lupa. It was carried out a few days ago. Am toying with the idea of adding as the assessment on limited RC drilling indicates 400k+ oz Au in place with unknown quantities of Ag.

Sites of interest include Kenge, Mbenge, Porcupine, Konokono and Tumbili. More than one of them is open at depth. EZ's idea is to truck ore tonnage 20 - 25 km to NGLM for processing. It has merit . . . not sure of the terrain and dirt road grading construction difficulty. (DigMin/BambooRock would take it on quite easily.) There is a colour photograph of the general area.

I've shoed in the above link in the prospect of EZ and LL having to spend an inordinate amount of time haggling with sub-county governments. Nairobi might be indifferent to the matter. Local attitude might be a hassle. Everyone wants handouts.

Gold deposits are unquestionably abundant in the tenements. As Acacia said, open-pit methods is the way forward.

It is understood there are an estimated 80,000 artisanal miners in the Kakamega district. Big numbers can be found at Bushiangala/Ikolomani and Isulu. It would be appreciated if EZ can elaborate on the feature next week. There has been dissatisfaction from some elements about jobs being given to outsiders. It is logical for DigMin to bring in their own drilling crews if this is the reason for the complaint.
