One consequence after today's reversal will be to spend far less time on the computer. The paper loss is not going to do a sudden about turn. On the other hand EZ notes the next WK assays will be available in one or two weeks which might improve the forum's mood.
The pinch out at NGLM seemed to be fairly clear some time back. Unfortunately its depiction detail was insufficient. MicroMine, if they are still on the scene, should have been astute enough to point out a potential drawback. It is wrong to suggest EZ/LL foresaw the problem when they offloaded; the problem only became evident when the fault was reached a couple of weeks ago.
It is understood the fault spans ~100 metres. When breached the drillers are back into the gold-bearing rock. I don't know the tunnel drilling practices on the mine. The accepted efficient method can be found on last night's 44-minute documentary link. It perfectly illustrates te slog required before gold seams are encountered. Also the extracted rock quality can be determined via means shown on the other link. Drill rods penetrate about 1.2 metres in a predetermined design pattern, followed by explosives. The better the planning the more quickly the rock can reach the surface dump. Subsequently, ignore the lower grade gold-bearing rock until later. Concentrate on the higher grades for more ounces.
Few posters have registered the depth below surface now being reached. That is the equivalent of more than half-way up Snowdon or Table Mountain.
