I saw this and thought the same on first glance but I think Vale would still have the capital to take out or partner on Zanaga. Vale have relations to repair with the Brazil government so investing in their home country makes sense.

Your Rio Tinto thoughts might be more likely for me. Especially given the Glencore merger talks.

Current share price looks a steal.

There is no point doing any deal for 16p. If the wider market sees a big name partner, Zanaga being recognised as active and being developed the sp will go much higher than 16p. Buyout is what I hope for, that I do find harder to price but has to be over 100p for a mine and grade of that quality.

I contacted investor relations as I was disappointed 4kandles told us the event was rescheduled before the RNS. I was happy with the reply received although it was nothing not in the public domain already in terms of what they have said they are aiming to do. I just personally felt happy to continue holding and feel optimistic after the reply.

I believe the company remain confident.

I had a call last year with AT. It was said then in response to me asking why it was taking so long and voicing frustration at progress in 2024. I believe it was players or entities which was said rather than 'mining firms'. I wanted to ask if a State ( Saudi Arabia) could be a candidate but didn't get a chance.

AT said only a select group of mining firms have the capability to take on a project of this size. I don't think Shard will be the investor. I suspect something more like a consortium and hence the time it is taking to reveal.

Zanaga doing all the port, power and permits is derisking the mine. Likewise clearing the loan to Glencore. It is all being done to bring the partner or buyout to a conclusion.

Consortium is a good point. The This is Money article did say consortium stake or a buyout in full. I can see why some think this whole thing is to flush out the buyout offer. Hard to call. Either way got to be worth more than 8p per share.

I could see alongside that some sort of open offer allowing us to buy more on a similar valuation to the strategic investor.

I don't see a share price hammering fund raise. The bod would have done one years ago. I see either a buy out or an entity buying in on favourable terms to them which is also benefits us by finally unlocking a dormant mine.

Why not an independent venue? If they are using Shard's serviced office, does it mean we are going to have a potential open offer or placing put to us and the reasons why they think it will grow the share price? I prefer to just sell and be done with ZIOC by 18th March. A buyout would be best.
