As i said, there are no excuses anymore if they don't.

Now it's time to deliver.

If THG proofs the market that it can be profitable and return to revenue growth, then this stock might fly as Peleton did yesterday.

Since THG has a record of missing guidance, it is a big "if".

Expectations are low, but at the same time i don't wanna hear any excuses anymore:

- no sector-wide beauty de-stocking anymore

- stable and moderate whey prices

- no need to charter big airplanes because of covid anymore

- mp rebranding roll out started last summer, so a full year ago

Analyst consensus for FY2024 seem very low:

THG disappointed a few times in the past, but these expectation really seem beatable.

Let's hope the partnership is beneficial for Premier Foods and they expand the partnership in the future!

Last year FUEL10K was acquired by Premier Foods for 34m (projected revenue were 21m).

So a multiple of 1,6 for a nutrition company.

Since last year THG Ingenuity is an official AutoStore system integrator and introduced a pay-per-pick model.

According to the Q1 2024 earnings call not many customers have chosen this model tho.

This week AutoStore reported a decline of revenues for Q2. They said that companies are more cautios about big investments currently (high interest rates, etc.).

So to me it sounds like the perfect environment to push the THG Ingenuity partnership (pay-per-pick model) and maybe provide more details about this PPP-model.

The upfront payment for grid infrastructure is expected to be between 20-40 percent of the typical total cost.

NUXE used to be using THG Ingenuity, if i remember correctly.

Probably changed the tech platform. Who knows why.

Being all positive about this stock is easy when you sit on a big profit.

Same goes for ppl who sit on a big loss obviously.

That's why i asked about the buy-in of people here.

When did you buy in and what's your average buy-in price?

I'll start:

I first bought in quite after IPO, so at around 500p. I kept buying the stock periodically. So i admit, that i tried to catch the falling knife with this stock.

I sold 50% of my holdings when the sp rose during the last takeover speculations and bought more stocks afther the stock tanked.

Currently i still have a loss of about 30% (or in my case "only", since i used to be more than 80% underwater with this position).

The opportunity costs are probably way higher than the acual loss here for me.

Let's be transparent guys.

As you can see, i've been following this company from the beginning of its public market journey. So I might be more critical than somebody who just bought in at 65p.

One part of a company can be profitable, another part of the company can be loss making.

How would you value the company? Your value will be based on what comes out in total.

Making an investment on SOTP valuation is a bet on a break up of the company, nothing else.

As I said, it doesn’t matter as long as the company doesn’t split up.

It’s not given that it really happens.

It's not that hard to get his point.

He just gave an example that SOTP valuation doesn't matter as long as the company doesn't get splitted up.

He could have also said that conglomerates never get the SOTP valuation.

As long as THG doesn't get split up the theoretical SOTP valuation is irrelevant.

It would be great if THG would start to beat or at least meet analyst consensuses.

Also very much depends on Ingenuity success. Don't forget, THG invested more hundreds of millions in worldwide infrastructure, but currently only about 50% is used.

More Ingenuity client wins are necessary to fill the available space.

In 2022 the PE company CVC bought a majority shareholding of The Quality Group - Germany's biggest fitness / supplement group with brands like ESN (Elite Sports Nutrition) and More Nutrition.

Back in 2022 the company had revenue of 450 million €. In 2023 the company had revenues of 680 million €. They are not a public company, but according to their website they have good profitability.

Like MyProtein they also do high agressive influencer marketing.

That's the kind of companies you should compare MyProtein with.

Unfortunately the takeover price was never made public.

Seriously crafty, why do you compare a (mainly) retailer to a pure tech / software company?

what do THG and Darktrace have in common that you compare those companies?

Guys, it is an AutoStore Capital Market Event, not THG.

So you need to buy some AutoStore shares first :D

AutoStore Capital Market Day 2024 will be held at THG ICON campus on September 18th.

Maybe the pay-per-pick model will be pushed at this event.

Why is Optimum Nutritions Whey Isolate inferior to MyProteins Whey Isolate?

Just because one brand might use more cocoa-powder or sweetener than the other, it doesn't mean it is inferior.

For some people taste is more important than that extra gram of protein per 100g.

But let's say it is. That means that competitors are able to charge more for a inferior product. Is that a pro for Myprotein?

Optimum Nutritions range is indeed limited and some products outdated, but they are selling..and for higher margins than most competitors with better products
