Health officials have launched the “largest surge testing operation to date” in south London after the discovery of a “significant" cluster of the South African Covid-19 variant.

At least 74 cases of the mutation — 44 confirmed and 40 probable — have been identified in Wandsworth and Lambeth, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) said.

Anyone aged 11 and over who lives, works or travels through the areas being urged to take a Covid-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, on top of using twice-weekly rapid testing.

The identified cases are isolating or have been in isolation,the DHSC said.

But this one has always bothered me. You are feeling poorly and have a test for covid with PCR and it's negative why the need for a test for flu ?

If that is the case it's a shame it wasn't mentioned in the RNS. Would certainly have lessened the impact.

Very bad taste troublesome.

We are supplying 50% of our product to international sales, but not seen one RNS on orders won.
Whilst the impact of todays RNS has massively hit the sp the impact would not have been so bad if previous orders had been made known.
It would also allowed us to sell shares where we over exposed.
