Regarding the large Medical Imaging contract in China in April 2014 , which was a seven year length. Can you confirm that this is the same Chinese company that you referred to recently in the final results rns in June 2017. Is the original $159 million contract still in progress. Thanks in advance Best Regards," The reply received was basically " yes, I can confirm you are correct"

I contacted KMK and had a reply this morning. Its Very Good News. The long term contract, ( $159 million) regarding the Chinese manufacturer announced in 2014, is the very same one referred to in the finals earlier this year....so this contract still in play and was making said to be making progress 5 months ago. ...wonder where it's at now!

I'm a little confused about KMKs dealing in China. Al I know is that in July 2014 rns they announced that they had been negotiating a long term "exclusive distribution deal" with a Chinese company and had entered into a $159 million "long term contract". This contract depended on the Chinese company making down payments each following year and with yearly targets ....I imagine if they did not meet the targets then the contract could continue but the Chinese company would loose the exclusivity...this years 2017) final results showed under highlights the following.... "Continued to make progress on the development of CZT-based SPECT modules for customer in China" Is this the same company we contracted in 2014....if so, then this long term partnership could just come back to life, at last. Have I missed something here. Do we have any other contracts like this with another Chinese company? It was suppose to have been exclusive when first announced. Maybe it still is...maybe it isn't but either way if it's the same company that would be brilliant.

From memory kmk have secured $8 million of new orders /revenue for this financial year so far....on top of contracts from last year hitting this year's revenue......contracts over multiple years but revenue this year should look good...from memory as on mobile. ....still waiting for the step change. .

If KMK are on target for yearly projections then we should get some more helpful news / broker coverage next week,......in theory.

I think this $8 billion contract award is the catalist. Ten year Contracts up to a total amount of 8 billion will now be given out during 2018. Kromek is one of many to benefit and is sole supplier. Have a look at the time lines. The recent Telegraph tip was no coincidence, imo. This news only been out for a few weeks even though my link dated yesterday. Here. Note that Kromek are also listed as a provider ( sole) on the JE RDAP IDIQ holders list. There is also a document around with a timetable regarding timescales of contract orders for several defence contracts regarding chemical, biological and radioactive.....mid 2018 onwards looks good for KMK. I was looking for .....but another research document relating to Darpa and using Kronrk detectors ..it does mention using Old version Samsung mobiles and from page 11 mentions type of detectors ....I.e Kromek. I take the posative update from the Telegraph piece as confirmation that all is on track. They woukd have had a chat with Kromek before publishing this update, surely. I found an interesting piece of research ( cant findo it now but will post late) but the gist, from memory was the amoubt of research regarding the efforts of finding a android mobile telephone that has the same battery life as the Kromek handheld detector that Darpa Sigma have signed up for. Kmk s technology lasts 12 hours the mobile phone lthey tested lasted just 6 hours ...they only tested it on a Samsung . The conclusion was to widen to other types of other mobile . The reason was they have created an app which can be downloaded which runs simultaneously with the kmk detector ..allowing anyone owning a android mobile device to act as a handheld detector...I'm not sure exactly how it will work but is linked into the pan mesh live data feed in and around a stadium or city.. Crucially, members of the public as well as first responders etc. it was dated earlier this year and confirmed kmk had been chosen as sole supplier plus showed how kmk beat competition hands down. I'll try and find it later once back in office. Maybe someone here who is more into the technology side of things could explain it much better. In fact I'm sure they could.
