The EPL consultation closed at midnight so another box ticked. I hope we don't have to wait until the Autumn statement for the government's decision but given the glacial speed at which they move even that might be optimistic!

I'm not sure I would use JS's colourful language but I certainly agree with his sentiment about this government.

As spring turns to summer we still wait for the government's response to the EIA consultation. Shouldn't come to this of course but comforting to know that at the current cash run rate JOG has sufficient cash reserves to last until Reform win the next general election!

Powerful statement from the Serica Chair this morning ahead of their AGM that's well worth a read. As you might expect he's both critical and frustrated re the Government's attitude towards the North Sea O&G industry and highlights the absence of any response to the scope 3 emissions consultation that closed on 8 January. Something of course that others, especially Dick, have posted about for many weeks.

The government won't be listening of course but the statement certainly adds to Reform's well informed net zero stupidity argument.

It’s a very small purchase of mine via Halifax ShareBuilder (no dealing fee) this morning. Very surprised to see that’s the only trade so far. This share is crying out for news - hopefully not too long now.

Great to see the headline in the Telegraph announcing that Reform Council’s will go to war on net zero projects in the countryside.

I have to say I wasn't expecting much movement in the share price on today's news (that we'd been told to expect).

My primary reason for holding Parkmead is in the hope we get FDP approval on one or both of the North Sea offshore licences. With the stupidity of Net Zero gaining more & more attention (and probably more if the labour vote collapses today) I think the chances of us getting that (up to) £120m cash payment are getting greater by the day.

I do think it's remarkable that the share price seems to suggest there is no hope of us getting this payment.

So I think the market is mis-pricing PMG and that's why I'll keep holding (and adding on any price dips).

Agree LWHL. Was hoping for a bit more in performance fees but the currency volatility this month could mean much higher performance fees in the Q1 update in July.

Another excellent article on the stupidity of the government's net zero policy. This time it's Simon French in the Times and he makes two key points (well known to those on this board) that are acting as a deterrent to foreign investment into the UK:

1. The UK is adding more carbon to it's energy mix by reducing North Sea oil & gas & importing a 1/3rd of our gas demand from US & Qatar which has almost 4 times the amount of carbon per BOE.

2. At a time when the public purse is stretched (to put it mildly) & with the marginal rate of tax on North Sea oil & gas profits at 78%, North Sea oil & gas projects are being shelved/suspended and the government's tax take is reduced (a perfect example of the Laffer curve apparently, where increasing the tax rate reduces tax revenue).

A heavy defeat for the government in the local elections on May 1 will I suspect lead more MP's & activists within the Labour party to question their approach to energy security & push for policy change. We can but hope.

Not planned but just made another (smallish) top-up at 1.20p.

Special dividend of €5.73 to be paid in June. Sterling equivalent approx. £4.92 so remaining B2B business currently valued at approx £1.80 per share. Looks attractive to me.

Agree TTS, that’s a big gap. My disappointment, rightly or wrongly, is that there’s nothing to suggest they’re any closer to securing these material opportunities. I shall continue to hold/add but was hoping for a bit more from the RNS.

A dull start as the world waits for Trump. Anyway bought a few more this morning. Becoming a bit addictive which is perhaps a worry 😊

TTS - just short of 55% of JD Sports and just under 14% of Thruvision from what I can see. Both Pentland and Schroders took part in the equity raise in Nov 24 & I don't believe either have sold shares since (happy to be corrected)...unlike some of the other institutional shareholders of course. Given their substantial holdings (Pentland 13.7% & Schroders 16.8% following the equity raise) I'm hopeful that either or both are willing to assist Thruvision in some way.

Agree TTS re hard to understand price at this level, so just bought another chunk at 1.6p. It's money I can afford to lose but not expecting I'll have to.

Confirmation of completion within 3 months. Cash should then equal current market cap (or thereabouts) so everything else thrown in for free. I’ll remain patient whilst this plays out.

This is really beginning to motor now. 3 large (for me) purchases last week & yesterday & happy to sit tight.
