Results as expected with annual costs now covered over 7 times by cash. Excellent commentary from AB (loved the words 'potentially incredible prize') that imo says everything we would want to see. Timing is neat as he metaphorically hands the baton to Reform ahead of their annual conference that starts tomorrow.

I'm not talking about renewables, it's the potential £120m due on FDA of the Skerrymore & Fynn licences - FDA a near certainty imo under a Tory or Reform government. I don't hold PMG for the renewables.

Just imagine where the share price will be if one of these, more likely Reform, get into power. Appreciate it could be almost 4 years away but I'm prepared to hold for a share price that could be many multiples of it's current price imho.

Yes, the government looking increasingly isolated & just a few days away from Reform's party conference where we can expect net stupid zero to be a key feature. Who knows what Labour will do next but I firmly believe the future for JOG is very bright & imo this is not the time to be selling.

With just over 2 weeks to go until Reform bring this government’s failed policy towards the North Sea Oil & Gas industry into sharp focus this continual drift in the share price is now leaving me very close to making a top-up before the bounce. Any price below £1 has to be an absolute bargain imo.

Totally agree that it's due a bounce, just not sure it will happen this month. Net stupid zero will be high on the agenda at Reform's annual conference on 5 & 6 Sept & that should get plenty of media attention - that's also when we could see a bounce (bwdIk). Ironically on the 2nd day of their conference we have a few deluded souls from Stop Rosebank having a so called day of action. Unbelievable that they think they can make a difference but nonetheless we can expect someone from the BBC to be walking alongside them!

Party conference!

Reform have their parry conference on 5 & 6 Sept. We are certain to hear a lot about net stupid zero & of course whenever there is a party conference it’s followed by opinion polls - should show Reform well out in front. This should concentrate the minds of the Labour Party as to their policy towards the North Sea O&G industry. The level of media attention that Reform will get has usually perked up JOG’s share price & should do so again. As always patience is required, particularly whilst we navigate the summer recess.

Key takeaway for me: CEO was keen to emphasise the golden opportunities that the Services Division in particular has in front of it (he didn't want to take the credit for this, said it was mainly down to luck).

Summarised by saying that the Services Division has an open goal (with goalie gone AWOL) and investors had to decide whether they trusted their team of experienced execs to put the ball in the net! I've every confidence they'll do just that.

The initial drop this morning was a surprise but took the opportunity to top-up below £7. Continues to be a long-term hold for me given the expectation for future years revenue & profit. That and a nice 5% dividend!

The audio, as previously mentioned, is positive, I'd say very positive, about the future share price direction. We just need the government to provide the catalyst (hopefully no later than Q4) in terms of a favourable or non-existent EPL post 2030.

CHF - re your point on valuation I don't think Zeus have changed their opinion. At the end of the audio the guy from Zeus reaffirms their total risked NAV is 543p. This is higher than what they value JOG at risked (405p) which is 25% lower than their NAV calculation.

I'm not going to predict how high this can go but having been in this since 2017 (Digital Barriers) I'm almost back to break even. The sale announced today should be the first of the 'number of sales expected to close in July' as stated in the June 23 trading update. I'm staying in for the ride and I do predict exciting days ahead.

Fabulous update that will have ST positively drooling over this later. Favourite line is the board's expectation that future years for Hargreaves Services will be better than current expectations for revenue & profit! Mind you HRMS 'expected to report a significant growth in profitability' comes a very close second. Just a marvellous update & any concern about this being later than in previous years completely evaporated.

If it does fall I shall be adding more. It's a gamble I know but the solid trading update with the group expecting to close "a number of sales" next month is encouraging. And let's not forget the market currently values Thruvision at around £1.5m. I've been in this too long to throw in the towel now.

The main reason (probably only reason) I continue to hold is because of the potential cash windfall that will come from Serica receiving FDP approval for Skerryvore and/or Fynn.

For Serica to proceed they need, amongst other things, certainty about the EPL after 2030. That went out to consultation that opened in March and closed on 28 May. So a decision from the government can't be far away and we're also due to receive their long awaited response to the Scope 3 emissions ruling.

Yesterday we saw the Tories joining Reform in calling for the abolition of the EPL. Whilst this won't happen anytime soon it adds more political pressure on the government to give the likes of Serica the certainty they crave.

In summary I'm increasingly hopeful that the SP will be a multiple of it's current price in the next 12-24 months. And we may not have to wait that long either because the SP should react to the merest hint from Serica that they are going to proceed with the development of Skerryvore & Fynn. GLA

Good find - typical lazy comment from Scottish Labour; who is going to tell her the oil & gas giants largely left the North Sea long ago! That aside it's encouraging to see that the Tories have now joined Reform in calling for the abolition of the EPL. The direction of travel seems pretty clear.

Just escaped from some DIY & delighted to see that Janus are out. Time will tell whether they made the right decision but according to the ADVFN board they don’t have a good track record so hopefully they’ve made another bad decision!
