He will only respond to legal sanction- he is amoral

The Tunisian guy will struggle to implement DRC as already evidenced by the delay in set up- although at least he speaks French- although lacks any other local know how. He will not achieve this on his own and better men than him have failed and he will need greater resources than offered by Wsg. The idea that the delay is only due to unexpected DRC bureaucracy is ridiculous - although is a typical fowlerism

The poor working conditions of RVA officers run deep- they set fire to RVA buildings- and complained of distant and corrupt management- the situation stabilised with alfonso billenge- although he was against the RVA privatisation/ wsg involvement- that’s part of the reason he was sacked imho

The DRC MSC is much more challenging than Tema, with a broader remit over 5 geographically distant sites in a complex environment with culture, corruption, civil war and mpox to deal with.

The customs officers have had very poor relations with RVA management over the past 10 yrs resulting in 3 RVA directors being sacked or imprisoned. Customs officers have grievance re delay on salary and pensions payment. WSG have been installed by hands off gov ministers based on fanciful beliefs that a small outfit in Banbury will have greater expertise in meeting ICAO standards but expecting them to have local knowledge/expertise and willing to accept lower profit (10m usd per annum is low for this)
