As regards the trades shown on this (indeed any) website, they use a 'best guess' to decide whether the trade is a buy or a sell, based on the share price at the time that the trade is posted. Often you get 'late reported' trades, which were completed at an earlier time, when the share price may have been quite different. So buys may be reported as sells, because the program used doesn't check the share price at the time that the trade was done. It is most likely that a big buy went through, late reported, that was shown as a sell on the screen. Therefore, don't rely on the volume shown as an indicator of whether to buy or sell. As you gain experience you will get a better feel for what is actually happening when confusing signals are given. Some trades can also be undone/deleted, so, if a big sell is deleted it can have a positive affect on the SP. ATB.
