Yes, Its going well. But I still want to know why we are getting these double sells that keep occurring. 54.2k at 15:58, then 24.75k at 16:28. It must be a day trader, I guess, and they are always 8 or 10 seconds apart. They keep on appearing, I don't know why they are always in two's, and why would you want to sell now? Very odd. Seems like we are on the up now though, so GL and ATB.
Yes it looks like the shorts are being closed, so we'll be properly on the up soon. I'll be complaining to the FCA about this, as there are definitely some irregularities here to have caused the price to drop this far.
Yes, WE HAVE LIFT OFF!! Some shorters are about to get their fingers burned methinks :)
Nice!
At least it looks like a lot of interest is returning, I was beginning to wonder if it would ever change direction :)
Hi Badgers, I'm seeing some strange sells, coming through in groups of 2. Someone is desperate to make the SP collapse further. We have bounced off the six month low, so could be that was the bottom.
I'm back in!
I'm see quite a few big buys starting to appear, maybe we will see the price start to recover today.
Sorry rory, I wasn't reading your correction right. I think most people would agree that the company is considerably stronger than it was in 2011, so suggesting that a retrace to £2.47, which was the actual low in 2011, might be on the cards is asking a bit much. But I'm ready for you to prove me wrong.
Hi rory, I would like to know what chart you are looking at re: 'exactly the same thing last year', as last April SGP share price was £7 and going up. I think you are referring to the year before when SGP admitted to a small 'accounting mistake' which did make the SP fall. Hi afamiii, I hardly think SGP is anywhere near bankruptcy when they have just reported a 12.8% increase in turnover for the last quarter. The only reason for the reduced wholesale figures would appear to be that we have had a very mild winter, so fewer people have bought the winter clothing. The previous year, when we had a harsher winter, the jackets were flying off the shelves. The share price will undoubtedly recover, probably very quickly from these low levels, as this drop has been a massive over-reaction IMHO.
'Turn the machines back on.....turn the machines back on!' :) HAGO.
Absolutely, I've done well over the last couple of years, but the last two months have been the worst with virtually all the supposedly secure shares I was holding e.g. LLOY, RR., ITV, BRW, LGEN, TSCO, CSR, and some others, all of which have dropped 10-20% for various unforseen or no good reasons. Was hoping this would get me out of jail, but no, when it rains it pours. Still could have been worse I suppose, so just trying to re-group, at the moment.
Hi Badgers, I did the same as you I'm afraid, woke up this morning, had a change of heart, and decided to cut my losses. Expect the b*gg*r will go straight back up again? The really crazy thing is that it wasn't at the bottom of expectations, if you calculate it it was only about 0.2m below the centre mark of expectations.
Going down is part of the game. If shares always went up, then there would be no up. They have to pull back sometimes to gain upward momentum, however, with days like today there is opportunity for money to change hands in an extreme fashion. I feel to sell now would be a mistake, as on several occasions in the past I have 'sold half' to reduce my losses, only to find the price flying up with only half the potential. The trick is to be going down with less shares, and be going up with more shares, but doing that is an art, and not for the faint hearted, if you want big returns. GL with yours and see you on the flip side. I'm not intending to even look at this for another month, the SP can do what it wants between now and then. ATB.
Well you've definitely got some guts selling at that point, for me anyway. I've been buying and selling in tranches, but I'm not selling any tranches until we are up around the £16 mark. As SGP has been known to jump up 20% in a day before now I wouldn't want to be out at all at these levels. Just wait and see now for me on this, can't do any more now. Good luck. Regards, valveamp.
Investec reiterates BUY rating, so do I :)
Well done! Do you mind me asking, did you sell all, or just a tranche at that price?
Sorry, we are all a bit in the same boat at the moment as far as losses go. This will take a while to stabilise, then the bigger investers will probably come in and you will see steady rises from then on. I can't see any reason for the price to remain at the level it was 3 years ago, when the company is 3 times what it was then. We have seen nearly a 40% drop since the recent highs, and for no apparent bad news, as such, at all. Can only be up from here in the near/long term future. I hate using the word patience, but that's all we need to do really. ATB.
Should be back to 1350 within a couple of days, if not today IMHO. I'll be holding long term whatever happens, so will wait and see.
One thing's certain, the 3 month chart is going to look very interesting in a couple of days. lol.
