Given Kroger own around 5% of Ocado any comments they make re Ocado have to be taken with a bucket of salt. With a lack of new partners and existing key partners pausing building further CFCs it's clear the attraction of the Ocado CFC model is waning....

Lol, clearly the share price is dropping consistently because of what Ocado is "doing". Ocado is still posting Ocado retail overall losses, key partners aren't signing up to more cfcs, (Kroger, sobeys, Ocado retail). New customers aren't attracted enough to sign up for CFC contracts. Development costs remain high.

Still posting losses at Ocado retail. Key existing partners pausing commissioning new CFCs. Lack of new CFC partners... Etc etc

Why should it stop dropping given the lack of new CFC partners/ Key existing partners pausing commissioning further CFCs/ Ocado retail still posting losses?

Poor news dressed up as a positive by Ocado management.

It's classic Ocado management speak. Poor news of declining demand for Ocados services by Morrison's claimed as good news as it allows an already over capacity Ocado retail to grow.

Trouble for Ocado is the market can see the reality of what's occuring so has rightly marked Ocado shares down after the announcement..

Given the issues over the past few years my short has been very straightforward. There have been bubbles of optimism in the share price but they have popped one after the other as CFCs remain unordered and further losses are incurred. I have added to my short at various points over the last 2.5 years. C,urrently I'm in a superb position.

Happy to remain short as there's a lot further for this share to fall. The obvious negatives re this share remain. Though of course longs will prefer to ignore these issues and instead copy and paste Ocado corporate blurb..,

Depends on the size of any new deal. I am short as I believe the pipeline of new deals will remain slow and the size of new deals will remain underwhelming.

Kroger, Ocado retail and Sobeys have all put long ongoing stops on commissioning further CFCs. My comments are similar over time as the issues Ocado have been facing remain the same. It's these issues that have made this share a straightforward short for me over the past 2.5 years. I'd encourage all to dig deeper than Ocado press releases. You'll only ever find glowing terms there.

There are obvious reasons why this share is falling. More falls to come.

If you look at this company superficially, copy and pasting their corporate spiel, then you'll not get anywhere close to understanding why the share price has been dropping day after day. Of course their website contains glowingly positive info. The truth of what's occuring at Ocado is a whole lot darker. You'll find no information about why they are signing up so few new customers to their tech. No talk in their why invest in Ocado release re the ongoing pauses in key partners commissioning new CFCs. No talk of the ongoing losses at Ocado group etc etc...

Agreed Bayobach. A failing company would be punished wherever it is listed. No new CFC partners for an extended period. Key partners pausing commissioning further CFCs. Showcase of Ocados tech - Ocado retail - still posting overall losses.

Blip up yesterday. Back on trend today. More falls ahead.

Its the lack of news that's hammering this share. Tech development and financing costs are eye wateringly high yet Ocado group still isn't signing up a flow of new partners. Key existing partners halting commissioning further CFCs is adding huge further downwards pressure. Add into things the news that Ocado retail is still producing overall losses and the current share price drift is entirely understandable.

More of the same to come.

Thanks for your concern OWLS. Given the flaws within Ocado group it has been obvious to short Ocado shares over the last few years. Very happy to continue doing so as I anticipate a steep increase in profit as longs start to sell off in droves.

And rightly so Pokerchips. New CFC partners are not being signed up. Existing key partners have a long ongoing pause on any further CFCs orders and Ocado retail are still running up losses. Ocado is currently a very risky investment.

Absolutely Bayobach. These are very poor economic times to be running up consistent losses at Ocado retail. The overcapacity issues Ocado retail ran into we're the result of very poor management. It has allowed M&S to rightly dispute and withhold their final payment to Ocado. I believe there's little chance of Ocado receiving it.

It's simply the truth re what's occurring at Ocado. Shorting the share has been an obvious move over the last few years.

Most ignore the facts, preferring to cling onto superficial good news though rather than dig deeper. There's more downside to come..

The great majority of Kroger online orders are not facilitated by Ocado. Kroger have many other partners to grow digitally other than Ocado. Sensible by Kroger to update their existing Ocado CFCs. Very telling that there has been an ongoing huge pause in commissioning further Ocado CFCs. Points to a significant downgrading of future Kroger/Ocado growth.

More downside today. Small moves currently. The bigger falls are to come..

Great day today. More of the same to come. Kroger uses many providers for their digital solutions. Shipt, Instacart being 2 of many. Krogers long, continued pause on commissioning further Ocado CFCs speaks volumes.

Read the superficial "good" news and you'll never grasp what's really occurring at Ocado. Dig deep and the many flaws are obvious.
