Could you provide a link to those rules? Surely they could issue an RNS at 2pm just prior to the product launch? Given that the launch is available for all to access it seems a very fair way of providing the information.

No pre market open RNS from Ocado re today's product launch. If there was an RNS though I'd expect it to be released at 2pm.

Re your Ocado merger with Deliveroo comment. I don't think that will happen. Very possible though at some point that Ocado license some of their technology to rapid grocery delivery operators. Or help them on a consultancy basis. It's a huge new market that's nibbling at Ocados retail UKs market share but its opening up a whole new spectrum of possible grocery company customers for Ocado Solutions around the world. Many of the rapid delivery grocers are highly labour intensive and loss making. With the help of Ocado robotics and Ai they could reduce labour cost, increase efficiency and start making profits.

I don't think so. They are just bringing their price target more in line with Ocados current price. Should the announcement create upwards momentum they will soon revise that price target. The price target is still well ahead of Ocados current share price.

Self driving vehicles update will most likely be mentioned tomorrow but I would be disappointed if that was the heart of their announcement. I think there's something more afoot. It's challenging to think what the announcement could be because there's many so many different areas they could branch out into.

Wth choppy tech conditions as they are tomorrow is a very bad day to disappoint the market. Ocado's bullish tone though suggests to me that it will be a positively received announcement.

That's a good example. It's far beyond Ocados current scale but shows what can be done if you are an innovative technology company which is continually disrupting itself.

Ocado have great form in breaking out into new areas. The company initially was an online grocery retailer but now has morphed into a majority tech company whose platform is used by others around the globe.

Tomorrow could be the start of another evolution into something bigger, new customer base etc

Now what's in the game changing tech announcement?

Ocado have said for years that they have a small percentage of their engineers and developers working on special projects outside online grocery. In a similar way to how Google has a special projects team.

The applications and possibilities of Ocados technology go far beyond online grocery. They now have a talent/knowledge base that can solve the toughest robotics/ai problems. They bought out kindred systems and Haddington dynamics robotics companies. These companies give Ocado more possibilities.

Have they found another goldmine? Not long to wait now..

That's a good guess chilting. It will most probably include a vertical farming update. Ocado have significant investments in that area and have had them for some years. Ocado have 2,200 engineers and developers. I'd expect them to revolutionise their vertical farm offering.

If it's new tech outside online grocery I hope it either compliments and elevates their existing online grocery platform or tech that opens another revenue stream in the near future.

I posted previously outlining that the above indicated that the announcement tomorrow will be solely about new tech and innovation in the online grocery field. However rereading this phrase I think it can be read in 2 ways? Could be that new tech and innovation will be announced in the online grocery field. Could be also that new tech will be announced in any field alongside innovation in online grocery.

How do you understand the quoted phrase above?

A completely stunning turnaround in US markets. Ocado's US ADR listing indicates Ocado shares should open at 1406p tomorrow. Of course the markets will further change overnight but the overall market situation looks far better...

Brutal market conditions across the board today. IBM report earnings after US market close today. Microsoft report tomorrow, Tesla and Apple also report earnings this week. These earnings could give a boost or otherwise to the overall tech market. Fed meeting on Wednesday will be the key driver to overall markets this week.

As you say Ocado have a habit of overcoming the odds. I have personally followed Ocados every move for over 5 years. Listened to all the earnings calls, read all the press releases, seen all the interviews, media releases. Over that time Ocado have built a strong record on delivering on their promises and built a high level of trust.

Put simply personally if Ocado say they are to reveal some game changing technology for online grocery then I think that is what they will do tomorrow. I have no reason to think it will be an empty product launch full of hot air.

Overall market conditions as harsh as they are could of course still bring the Ocado share price down even if Weds is a good product launch.

Continuing their steep fall since Ocado released their update re UK court cases v Autostore. Quite clear the market has very little belief in Autostore making meaningful progress in the legal cases v Ocado..

If you are correct and Wednesday is just a rebrand exercise with little substance then you should sell now. Many shorts are agreeing with you and have built up positions against Ocado.

Personally I believe that new tech products of substance will be announced and Ocados future path/vision will be clearly conveyed leading to an upwards share price move.
