Is there a possibility that the Boohoo founders son who bgt at 18p in placing is selling given the distressed Boohoo sp? Very strange why selling continues. Whilst buys being declared MM obviously has seller in the background. Perhaps selling as needs the cash rather than any concern about Avacta. I think it just gives buying opportunity to investors.
I think a buyout or partnership with Moderna is a feasible option. Moderna has partnered with Merck to use mRNA cancer vaccine and Keytruda therapeutic for Melanoma. i.e. combine prevention and therapeutic for total Melanoma package. I think this could happen on a increasing level across big pharma. Importantly, Avacta is on Moderna's radar, as it has licenced IP from Avacta.
FT article in the Pfizer article states “ Many of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies are sitting on significant cash piles and need to invigorate their pipelines of medicines, as key drugs go off patent before the end of the decade.”
Cannot wait for 1b to finish.
Pfizer’s chief executive Albert Bourla said the pharma group was “deploying its financial resources to advance the battle against cancer”.
He added that oncology continued to be “the largest growth driver in global medicine” so the deal contributed to Pfizer’s near and long-term financial goals.
Given the poor state of investment mojo amongst pension fund managers (mostly ones who invest for the long term and who companies rely on as solid long term investors), NASDAQ will be the only option to raise funds following P1b, I would think. What L&G CEO stated two days ago “If I go back 20-odd years, our defined benefit pension funds would be over 50 per cent invested in equities, now they’re like 6 per cent". Most pension funds have unfortunately piled into Treasuries / Gilts, and prepared to take risks on stocks.
Given that Avacata plan to have 18 cycles with AVA6K during P1b, how long will each cycle take. PDT on ADVFN has posted it will take 3 weeks per cycle. If true, it would take more than a year, to complete P1b. Assuming they can find right patients pronto and not take several months. Would be good to know if each cycle will indeed take 3 weeks.
I guess those traders had leveraged up on hope of quick killing following SD, but instead likely selling at a loss to cover positions. I for one have once again happily added for the long term, despite thinking I had enough!
So still sorting out manuals, processes and product labelling before can sell commercially. Apparently will be completed by 1st qtr. No sign off customers breaking he door down to get the commercial product. Partnership with big players will be best to avoid dilution for current share holders.
I’m expecting at least info on how much fox found in various tumours. Based on mouse model. It should be at 6 times more than conventional in cohort 4.
If that is the case the sp should be above £3 for sure, and perhaps £5+ if press report Chemo without side effects.
If hard numbers not given but just subjective statements on Science Day, then sp might perhaps drop in the short term because investors, I think, are expecting some tangible data.
Perhaps the Lithium drill results and newsflow on pilot Lithium concentrate in next 2 months? CEO did say in in recent interview that there were many interested parties baging the door down re Lithium.
Looks like sp heading back to 138 - back to before 17th Jan RNS - Crazy, but implies RNS added no value to mkt cap, despite providing much more certainty that Prodrug appears to work.
I assume the initial downward pressure on 17th Jan likely to be from institution that was paid in shares as part of their Bond interest payment. Probably started selling before it was allocated the shares. Likely to have caught a few traders off guard, and I guess many traders who bought on 17th Jan have been forced sellers due to loss margins.
That out of 5 tumour biopsies all 5 showed dox activity - what would sp close at on 1st day ? £7
That out of 5 tumour biopsies 3 showed dox activity - what would sp close at on 1st day ? £4
That out of 5 tumour biopsies 1 showed dox activity - what would sp close at on 1st day ? £2
Assumption being Avacta has got biopsies as CEO was confident of getting.
I checked the web site and no direct contact with company Exec members, only POLX PR company. I have emailed the PR company, to ask if CEO plans to do an interview and Q&A session. I am perplexed why the 'radio silence' post FDA approval.
