I'm hoping Kononov will be able to report that Allenby are fine with the proposed new directors. The Board have offered to appoint Rusinov to the Board, so presumably Allenby are okay with him. Maximov was previously a director, so presumably is also okay. Jean-Pascal Hilaire Peltier appears to have worked at Societe Generale for a considerable length of time, so should be pretty easy to check out. That leaves Vasily Mesheryakov. Shouldn't be beyond the bounds of possibility for Allenby to check him out.
But I am also guessing that Kononov may wait until shortly before the EGM to release his pitch, to stop the Board engaging in more public slanging, trying to refute what he may say. Ticking the clock down, as it were.
