So, thinking about it, no-one has a NET short position that is over 0.5% of the Comany (one half of one per cent). All the shorts must be to hedge long positions. As a poster said yesterday, watch for shorts closing.

Very strangely, the FCA daily notifications of short positions do not include any reported short positions in Ophir

And... I was dubious about investing in SDX when it floated because of its Egyptian exposure. I really think that this is a general market sentiment which is holding the SP back.

Interesting that AIM law requires the EGM to be called within 21 days of requisition being received, which UEN complied with, and held within 28 days of being called, which they did not comply with. I'm guessing that they chose Cyprus law instead, but it makes something of a mockery of their arm waving about the NOMAD and strict adherence to AIM rules. Having cake and eating it springs to mind. Especially eating the cake for as long as they possibly can.

The NOMAD courteously did not bother responding to my e-mail asking them about their independence from the current Board. But...they haven't resigned yet, I see.

I daw that. Don't know enough about Angus to comment on the rights and wrongs, but the requisitioners have a much smaller shareholding there than Kononov has here, so the Angus board have a fighting chance of fending them off.

You all seem to be reading a different RNS to the one I can see, which says clearly "Change in % holding due to the issue of 1,069,331,596 ordinary shares by Oilex Limited in the timeframe."

It says that their share of OEX has fallen because of the new issues, not because they've been selling. It does mean that they haven't been oarticipating in the equity issues and capital raises though.

I might be getting this wrong, but doesn't the takeover code require that it's at least the highest price achieved in the last 12 months? Which was 76.6p on 15 Jan last year. If they wait until after 22 Jan, the year high comes down to around 65p. That is a signifcant saving for the acquirer.
