I think that this relates to domestic customers, where suppliers are caught between the hammer of the price cap, and the anvil of energy taxes and green subsidies. Yu does not supply domestic customers, so it has to contend with the anvil, but not the hammer.
If it can hedge its input price when it signs a supply contract, then it will secure its profit margin.
The energy market is very complex, but money can be, and is, made off of it.
