Ironic, market makers don't actually make any attempt to value a company and set the price accordingly. Analysts and investors, particularly institutions, do that. Market makers simply run a book, they are obliged to buy and sell, so they set the price according to their book, which is driven by punters buying and selling. They balance that out, and make their money on the spread. You'd have more of a point if you were railing against algo traders, but they haven't cottened on to Yu yet, thank f**k
