Landore Resources20 Jul 2021 17:25
Dear all,
Been sitting back, reflecting on today’s news, and have to say that, for me, the RNS today was very very disappointing. Not, I hasten to add, because of the results, but the way it was presented.
Unless the Landore Board of Directors live and work in a bubble, they must, by now, be picking up on the fact that many shareholders are becoming frustrated by the disconnect between resource (value) and share price.
I am one of these, and, to be frank, I took today as a slap in the face. Let me say why.
People are selling . We can only (unless you are one) guess at their reasons but to be honest, I don’t blame them for one minute. What is the point of having your money wrapped up in a venture that never ever (so far) realises the ‘shareholder value’ that we have been promised for years. And years.
My point is this. I think people are selling on what is perceived as disappointing news. Many will have noted that the results centre on 5 x 25m centres on the grid line (For once, I can’t be bothered checking the grid number) on which the now famous bonanza hit lies.
Yes the grades are good as compared to usual Bam grades, but they are certainly not 5 x intervals @ silly grams per ton. Equally, they are likely aware that these were additional drills to those planned to explore (as 7 x 50 centres) to link the 200m between the bonanza and the other vv high grade hit from 2017 and 150 metres either side. The results were good (last RNS but one) but again not silly high grades (best was the 52m interval in hanging wall).
Bill touched on this in his last interview but one, but did not put the results into perspective. That is a failing on HIS behalf.
Look, the results today were good. Yes, they were not stupid grades but they were higher grade and certainly above the usual Bam average. I am personally pleased with the results and fully expect the super hg stuff to be located at some point (wether that be in drilling OR in mining I don’t know), but what I do know is this.
We cannot help but compare (I mean I have spent two days prepping q’s for the Proactive exercise on Thursday) with other companies and how they go about results, messages, and promotion. An RNS with good results but perhaps not as expected would have comment and opinion and an outline of how they assess it and what it means.
