The environmental credentials and working with the locals is a big part of it. I make a conscious decision to try to avoid investing in companies that do bad things. It would be easy money but I don't want it. I'd rather invest in companies that operate responsibly than make easy money with ones that don't. That's actually a large part of why I invested in CTL.

Pretty much aligned with my assessment but with a more optimistic tone. We need that CEOL and PFS (more so than ASX imo). Once we have those I think we're good.

It doesn't make sense to me that that would be a magnet long after that offering is no longer available.

I agree on the whole with the exception that "a positive decision by the end of March on entering the streamlined direct negotiation process for the Special Lithium Operating Contract (CEOL)" while significant is surely quite different to a final decision on the CEOL. I'd still expect some relief on the share price if both that and the PFS are done prior to ASX but I wouldn't want to put a number on it.

Let's be honest here. The share price is at an all time low. We still have no COEL and no ASX listing, both being well behind schedule. There is some progress on the actual project but even that has been beset with delays. The lithium price appears to have bottomed out but isn't exactly shooting back to it's previous value. All the while the company is burning cash, only staying afloat by diluting our positions. There is substantial risk of losing your money here and the share price reflects that. When/if both the ASX listing is done and the COEL is issued then this company becomes substantially derisked at that point but until then this is a white knuckle ride which could go either way. I'm all for optimism when appropriate but let's not delude ourselves.

What is the actual underlying value of the business though? DLE is not a unique technology to CTL. There are other companies which would be able to bring similar technology to the table. Until the CEOL is issued, there is pretty much nothing. It may well be the case that CTL has built relations with local communities and has a pilot plant operational in the area, but the rug can be pulled at any time. Until the CEOL is issued, there isn't really anything solid to invest in, which is going to make it difficult to raise capital, which adds further difficulty because CTL must have the capital required to develop the project for the CEOL to be issued.

Didn't they say that they were going to enter ASX with a price of around 15.8p? If that's the case and we believe that the share is undervalued, then surely this share is pegged roughly to that price until the ASX launch (which I note was supposed to happen yesterday)?
