I'd caution anyone against excessive optimism over the appeal. The failure to secure the fast track was unexpected and a setback. It seems strange to now view the appeal result as a grand milestone to look forward to. We don't know why the ministry drew the polygon the way they did (nor indeed do we know the details of exactly what that polygon looks like). Perhaps there is good reason for it, or perhaps there is not. Perhaps they will reconsider, perhaps not. We simply don't know. The PFS is significantly delayed, perhaps for good reason though that is speculation. The ASX listing is very delayed, although I can see a good reason for that too. A low lithium price is unambiguously bad. Don't try to con yourself in to thinking otherwise just because you're invested here.

No one here knows why the fast track application was unsuccessful. 'The application was perfect but the government is socialist' seems quite an entitled position to hold especially given that there's nothing to base it on. Lack of existing means to raise capital would seem the most likely explanation to me but really there is no way of knowing until someone tells us.

Which rights would a successful buyer have to buy from CTL?

This is surely more than a 'blip'. If we don't have a licence to operate, we have nothing. If the PFS reveals an attractive resource (expected) this will make the bidding process more competitive. And what is involved in the bidding process? If it is purely about putting up the cash, giving no regard to the significant leg work CTL has already put in to the area then where does the money for this come from with the share price where it is at the moment? A loan? Further dilution? There's no making this look good unfortunately. Let's hope that the appeal process is successful.

To add to this, tomorrow is the last day before the govt are late and if anything happens tomorrow then we may not find out till Monday or Tuesday. It may be taking longer than we expected but there is no 'delay' as such as of today.

'31 January 2025 following which the Ministry IT and legal departments had 5 business days to register and organise the submittal. The Ministry´s Lithium and Salar Unit then has 45 business days to review and analyse the request.'

This would make the 11th of April the date assuming the whole 5 days was taken to organise the submittal (a safe assumtion, clearly) . I'm not sure why the end of March and now today was fixated on.

"The last week of March" was the translation. I can see how it could be interpretted that way. In any case, as Couerdelion says it's only a few days and it's completely out of their control anyway.

Not the issueing of the licence itself but the companies which will be given the fast track for the issueing of the licence should be announced 'by the end of March' and it is the last day in March now. The licence represents a huge amount of the uncertainty about the project so it will be great news for CTL if they are successful today.

Potentially I guess. It isn't really in their control. I'd like to see things moving though.
