If there was anything of substance, one would expect Laird management to explain to the market why the shares have fallen so much. I believe it is a stock exchange requirement they must do it. Cant understand that after 160 to 180p Nomads expectations, why have the shares tanked. Directors are not buying and I wonder if a hedge fund is offloading but there are no large trades so far. I suppose we can only sit tight till 01/03/2018 for final results unless Q4 trading performance is given next week.

moniman, Unfortunately, UK governance is quite weak and lots of people probably get away with it. Look at our politicians taking consultancy fees (a bung really) to feed Brexit information to the Chinese at �6000 a day.. Will they be charged, surely not

I meant 01/03 is final Results but Q4 update should have been scheduled around 01/02 IE a month before final results which is a ''purdah' period for Directors.

moniman, what is your logic of insider trading?? Such a huge drop and no explanations or denial of any reasons from Directors is a surprise. Generally, the Directors should indicate reasons or tell the Stock market there is no reason for a fall. 01/02/2018 is final results but they should give 4th quarter update around 01/02 although this is not indicated anywhere.

Totally agree. Management have not indicated any problems since last update which was very positive. Full year update is anytime now and Laird have made enormous progress on all fronts since Rights issue + all nomads have target prices 50 to 60% more than current pricing. There dont seem to be any short positions so whats the problem? Anything mere mortals like me dont know? No negative press but also no positive press recently. Why are management so quiet?

Roller coster with this company over 25 years. lots promised over that time but very little delivery. I should have sold out when Professor Kingsman and his wife bailed out at �1 plus 15 years ago. Now it is a long haul. Directors are buying so best stick around

Moniman, you are right on cost reduction and last report was bullish on the turaround so fingers x. At �1.35 to �1.40 it is a buy The $ has actually slumped against the � so Dollar earnings being converted (and Laird has lots of $ earnings) will need more $ for each � I think you now need $1.37 for every � as opposed to $1.24 a few months back so a possible reduction of 10% on top line can have a massive effect on bottom line. Anyway, they also have costs in $ and staff etc overseas so there will be some set off.

As far as I am aware Samsung does not source much from Laird and the main income for Laird is going to be from Driverless vehicles and the IT they supply to Industries in non connected protocols. The Apple usage of Laird products is a blessing but also a threat like Imagination Technologies. The fall in $ against other currencies affect Laird earnings but the market has been harsh. Also no takeover so far but the shares ought to hit �1.60 by the month end based on current earnings. After that there dont seem to be much to power the shares except a possible takeover

Wonder why such a spike. My costs are around �4.75 and with such excellent divis, I wonder?? They keep on telling us correction is on the way but so far shares keep rising. I think QE has helped banks turn massive profits and I cant see significant rises in base rate. Best sit it out.

I am afraid the info is fairly ancient (2015) when shares were trading at 300p + and since fallen back with profit warning and discounted Rights issue. Do we know if their technology is ahead of the curve or another tech company will surpass . The jury is out and nobody has made a bid. wonder where they go? from here on

Quite right but a number of Asset managers are active on this stock like Artemis have just under 20%. They are all waiting for the price move.
