How about Serica investing the lot into say Shell. I would say go for bp ,but Shell seem more pro UK and are not obsessed by making money from coffee shops.

Thanks for the update Newkotb. What I cannot understand are the holders declaring below one percent. These first declared below one percent originally. If that's the case then a number of us on here should have also declared.

There is nothing stopping Kistos building up a stake in Serica to hold for a bid at a future date. If they are serious. Also they would receive dividends.

Why get out and retire. Retire to what and what is a good price. If you are seriously considering retirement why not take the dividends as part of your retirement pot in the knowledge that this is a debt free company with a solid balance sheet and a board that will not take undue risks. Also have you missed that debt is becoming more deer by the day.

Excellent posts sasa43. You approach matters far better than ever i would , but i do hold the same views. As i do with some points other lth have raised recently, but like you i am baffled as to why they have lost their resolve today.

Shell seems to be showing more loyalty to the U.K than B.P . I.E recently backing a company to drill for gas. B.P are just well not BP . They should rename themselves inmo as Turncoat Petroleum. Or latte petroleum. Better still sell off all your north sea assets to Serica.

Totally agree Sasa . I can understand some people dissapointment , but as you say we don not fully know what went on behind closed doors. As posted before my view is they are awaiting north eiggs results. Also as posted before why aren't some posters which are aggrieved not venting their anger at BP. For me they did not help with their recent antics. British Petrol my a......s. .

Newkotb as you are aware BlackRock will certainly look at their investment closely.Fwiw my view is they will wait until North Eigg results. Either way like the rest of us we would be looking at a decent return from this level which have been bolstered by gas prices due to human thugs and lack of planning from hmg who feel fit to st....b their leader in the back inmv

As i posted earlier north eigg is the key here so the sooner the better for results.Either way we will benefit in the medium term.Fwiw i am not bothered how the market reacts as once again we will benefit if the share drops or rises . Any fall will attract buyers or a new approach. Any rise well is more than welcome with dividends thrown in
