One thing to add is that some posters are assuming that Serica has missed opportunities. I would say quite the opposite. They inmo are making hay while the sun shines building cash to maybe acquire assets when gas/oil falls . What would have happened had they purchased assets when gas/oil was low and they remained low after the purchase. Fwiw my view is that they are adjusting to the current times. Added to boot we now have an excellent dividend policy.

Well maybe there should be vote. Why do you fink you should have a large one. Share price near all term high. I would say keep the ship and fly wheel steady. Make hay so to speak,but everyone has their own views including me fwiw

Things may not end up too bad for Serica re possible further tax.
If they took labours idea and backdated it to January by my estimate it would cost an extra 50 million which with how gas has increased since then would be no big deal inmv

I would say Deltic is becoming more attractive by the day with this new threat of wft. Due to their licences currently non producing. So any producing company could snap up an exploration company utilising the current tax breaks.

As Newkotb posted. The last thing Serica needs are any more North sea assets. So turn the taps down inmo

I'm not sure if this is possible ,but could Serica sell some or all of their assets to an overseas company where they do not get clobbered by wft.They could then invest the proceeds into overseas assets.just a thought.

The cash generation will not mean anything if Serica gets taxed further. They may as well reduce production to a minimum until the tax returns to more acceptable levels

As you say new wft looks likely. Personally I think Serica should cut production right back if this occurs. They should also look at relisting overseas if this mitigates tax liabilities.
I don't know why the government just dot nationalise us . We might as well be if we going to be taxed further

If its any consolation the same thing happened to L & G when their results were released last week . It only took a day for the market to catch up. So inmo i shouldn't worry too much. At the end of the day inmv these are excellent results and cement the company going forward.

I agree these are stellar results in this current climate. For me this is a share that you can hold without the worry of any unexpected surprises.

I have recently invested as I like the prospect of the drill programs together with the partners involved. I am also in Serica and to me this could be excellent fit for both parties. I would be interested in people's view on this.
