North eigg spudded nearly six weeks ago. My question is would there be any indication of possible gas/oil at this early stage.Or would the entire drill process need to be completed before any results come in. Also what depth could they have reached so far..

It's going to be interesting how the new formed cabinet react. Having being invested in diagnostics when covid hit. This inmv will either bring out the best in them. Totally agree lucky Luciano. I'm guilty of that myself. It's not meant as intentional. At least on my part. I suppose subconsciously its a bit of relief to take some profit.

Oddly enough I have experienced the same problem of late investing into a new investment. In terms of being the new poster on the bb and fwiw some lth there have posted comments re taking profits. So I understand what you are saying.

I do not think most lth who have sold some shares are looking for praise inmv. Many lth posters on here have been here along time and have built some kind of repour with each other. That's all it is. Also if you go back and read their posts over the years you will see that they are genuine and still hold shares. To summarise all they are doing is exchanging where they are now between other lth. Fwiw

Fwiw raggsP I am in a similar position with yourself and some other lth. I am still holding a decent amount,but like yourself I need to think about security In retirement. My issue at the moment is that you just cannot trust the current government.
Hopefully everything continues the same with some nice acquisition/merger and positive results from north eigg

Blackrock seems to still be adding. So hopefully this is a good sign going forward. The continued rise is most welcome for obvious reasons, but until we have some news on Eigg or a deal i fear that this could be short lived if a correction in gas prices occur. Also we still do not know what hmg will throw at us.
Fingers crossed on Eigg or a good acquisition/ merger of some sorts.

I Agree Newkotb. This will end Bradly. My hope is Serica will merge with a large player such as Shell. Not those turncoat BP mob. Other wise a nice takeover by ineoes would suffice for me.

No advice intended, but something will happen before winter sets in. Below are some possible scenarios.
An agreement to the conflict in Ukraine (Most likely inmv)
A Merger
Out right takeover
WFT applied further resulting in some sort of nationalisation
IOC share sold or taken over by Hmg/ Serica in some form
Either way i do not see inflated profits lasting much longer, but on the plus side inmo is that Serica is currently fully underpinned going forward with a substantial cash pile to acquire possible assets in the future. Also not forgetting excellent dividends.

The whole o and g industry will collapse if they are that thick. Which inmv they are not.
Worst cenario they back date. So what at these prices no big deal.
If prices collapse then just reduce production until there is an intelligent approach with this situation. I.e.tax google.amazon.facebook.ubor.and the rest of the lot. The list goes on and on.

Libor is currently running close to four per cent for the year.
So inmv the more cash Serica can build up the better. Then they can acquire asset's when the over inflated market adjusts inmv

It may appear that the company has got lucky of late,but just like holders here decisions still need to be made at certain times. I would say on the whole they have been making the correct decisions.inmv
