Im still keeping the faith. just the beginning for Omega . Seems a little odd. but amazing all the same . just want cd4 to really take off then I will be happy. that's why I bought shares in the first place

My problem is that after holding and adding shares over years. Is that the city guys are selling out for whatever reason. .. It does not come across very good for moral reasons in my book. I,E rob peter to pay paul.

inmo you are one of the last suporters of omega. im still here obviously like yourself, but what beggars belief even for charatable wht did the largest holder jump ship in the middle of a placing. What makes it worse that he and oryx were invited to previous fund raises at 10 p when the rest of us bought in the open market to try to hold the price up.Albeit to preserve what money we have and not city money. i.e pi investor

I think your right. I can see someone bidding for this now.. We must be looking very undervalued to someone taking an 18 month view.

That is really what this is about. Government should have supplied all the necessary funding. Instead as merchant has said pi are taking all the risk only for gvmt when it suits them to say how supportive they have been in promoting the diagnostic industry. Maybe if omega renamed itself as rocheabbomegaazrbslloyds funds would be there. Maybe even throw in a airline owner in the process . The sad fact is someone like the baroness will be given another honor at the end of this
just hope that the share settles down after the cut off point and we steadily rise on the positive news flow in the coming months

This is my problem. As much as i like omega. This placing /open offer is not good. Take a look back as how they have raised funds in the past. Everything seems to have gone out of the window with this. Their cautious approach utilising bank o/d and institutions seems to be forgotton. Im afraid if they just end up with three milion then that should be fine . they could apply for grants over draft rolling credit etc. maybe even go back to oryx and raise a convertable. inmv anything better than have the share dictated by a load of traders day in day out.. only my opinion ,but as a holder which still anticipates holding not happy with the shenanagins here nowadays

Thats not what the 3 milion is going for. It is to fund TB and Malaria on the cd4 platform. They dont need the funds for this. It is a long term development where cd4 sales can cover it

One way to ensure that this regains its value is to vote at the agm to vote against the additional placing of 3 milion. Inmv it is not needed. The past week of share manipulation proves this more than ever

inmv the weakness in the price today is more to do with events in Hong Kong. Which could have a knock on effect for food tech in the short term

in terms of the grand scheme of things. This is a relatively a small sale, but has had a huge negative effect on the share price. What is going to happen if more people sell . personally I have done the opposite recently . Not sure now if that was wise. My decision and problem, but feel Serica with a growing cash pile and falling share price must be one of the more secure stocks around.

Newkotb You did better than me. I bought some at 1.084. Im hoping this stays at this level until dividend payment. Hope I haven't over exposed myself now .I think its more likely we will be taken over the longer a deal doesnt materialise and the price stays depressed. Something must happen by year end surely

I wouldn't be so sure that the open offer gets voted through. The board does not hold that many shares and institutions have been offloading shares. Maybe they are not happy with the size of the placing. As I posted before I would prefer that the funding for poc development of malaria and Tb came from cd4 sales. I am not certain ,but I think that the development on these tests will take a couple of years. So there is plenty of time to build cash to cover development costs. We also still have an overdraft facility which could be used going forward.
Maybe a clever game is going on here. The price could be being driven down so few take it up. After all the shares will simply lapse without further dilution if not taken up. Whatever happens if the shares stay at this level for a couple of days I could see them suddenly bouncing
