What might change the GP senario is this cash wave comming in from the US treasury having $1T in excess cash which it needs to get rid of. I dont think anyone knows what the effects might be.

IMO on a downwards trajectory really at the moment, until the 10-year yield makes general equities unattractive. Another .20 - .40. Maybe the pain ends in about 6 weeks ???? Hopefully gold doesn’t fall too much. Then I am hoping that some equity money moves into gold or the fed steps in.

We dont know Peters worth but we know that he recently sold his stake in POG which alone must have fetched $120m

I think you are right Rioconnection1, Peter purposefully crippled the company with debt so that POG couldnt be taken over. Sounds like his style.

conspiracy number one "take over" = complete nonsense,
conspiracy number two "UCG wants cheap processing" = more complete nonsense (Have you seen how inefficient. expensive POG's cost per ounce is ?) This is the very last company in the world, to go to if you want cheap processing.

What we do know for sure is that the actions of UCG have help the company rid itself of someone who was plundering the shareholders. And we will know in a week if he is going to go to jail for embezzlement.

POG will only potentially be a target once that $500M bond is paid off, another reason to only part pay it.

a takeover of POG would cost nearly $1.5B, it would be "cheap" if POG can return that through cash in three years. Can they do that ?????

He is investing in a gold price increase. POG is really a weak gold miner and these do best during a gold price increase. He has already doubled his money. Because of his large stake he can also be a activist investor. He wants the companies share price to go up, like most people on this LSE board do. UCG doesn’t not have the money to pay off POGS debt and anybody who attempts a takeover would be a fool.

POG is takeover proof. No-one would tigger a $500m bond repayment, a $200m IRC loan guarantee and a $40m outstanding convertible repayment. They would need $750m just to cover the debt, and another $750m for the equity ?????

You know Lawrence we keep hearing this claim from Pavel s PR team that UCG want to take over POG to "sure up their finances" because of debt. How stupid are they ? If you have lots debt why would you be interested in taking on a highly indebted company. Think about this, apon take over 500m of bonds become immediately payable. This is b/s being churned out by people who do not have the companies or the Investors nterests at heart.

Yes I agree, there is going to be a wave of news happening over the next few weeks. I think the current team are quite happy to let the share price drift, and then look like heros when they give us a production forecast, dividend policy, open the flotation plant. They clearly have control of both the company and the legal agenda now.
How long can the KPMG review last, 3-4 months ? End of March.

From what I read about a week ago , the was due to additional evidence being submitted. The trial is set for the 23rd of Feb

It seems todays court case reverses that previouse one from a few weeks back.
