I think Biden and the democrats have had a grudge against Russia since 2014. They are looking for some reason to economically attack both Russia and China. I wouldn’t be surprised if this escalates as both the Russians and Chinese are pretty tired of this. Russia has very little international debt, but the issue is that they need to be see to retaliate economically, but they don’t have a mechanism that doesn’t hurt themselves.
I don’t think Bidens “macho man” stops until he gets taught a lesson.

I can only speak about manufacturing as I have never worked on mining, but in manufacturing you can normally reduce staff by 30% or more and not affect production. Even if some of those are heads are direct vs indirect. I can believe the tip of the spear is more than 25% in POG.

you sound quite sensible. I am thinking strategically here. You justify the costs of a business based on its return, not what the company is paying.
If I open a bun shop and sell my buns at a 5% margin I go backrupt before the man who sells his buns at a 10% margin, especially if I am highly levered in an environment with rising rates.
Either that or your company needs a new strategy/Business market.

I think EV peaks in 10 years and then we move to hydrogen. 1 % of vechicles will be hydrogen in 5-7 years. Great for planes/ships/tanks/jets and clean.

And really Hydrogen is the future of fuel. Electric is quite bad for the enviroment.

Actually, gents I think that more oil was being extracted, pre-covid, than at any point in history, and the third world appetite for oil is ravenous. The global demand for power/fuel/LNG/Hydrogen will double in the next 30 years, oil itself has a good 10 - 20 years of high bulk demand left. How much does POG use?

In 2019 own production was 470K.FY 21 Forecast 370-390K. Thats a 20% drop in non third party volume. We should expect a 20% drop in headcount.
